Senior Content Writer

The Senior Content Writer will be responsible for corresponding with and building relationships with Subject Matter Experts and identifying new program-specific topics/details for our content database. The person hired for this role will work closely with the Proposal Management and Proposal Writing teams, as well as Subject Matter Experts, to identify/address ongoing content needs and review outgoing proposal drafts.

The impact you will have:

  • Review/edit proposal drafts to ensure program-specific content is accurate and up to date
  • Lead efforts in curating and writing content across the suite of Curriculum Associates solutions
  • Collaborate with the Senior Content Manager and Content Specialist to update existing boilerplate to align with company and product updates
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to obtain an understanding of product specifications and operational procedures in order to translate that information into compelling messaging for proposals
  • Share information at weekly team meetings to inform team of program updates and provide content-specific training
  • Research, outline, and write documentation that is technically accurate and conforms to the CA proposal-writing style
  • Assist in tracking emerging trends, based on incoming solicitations and new proposal content
  • Assist with program-specific content and participate as a contributor/section leader for ongoing proposals/ rubrics, as needed
  • Other relevant duties, as assigned

Who we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience writing
  • 2+ years of experience in the K–12 education publishing/ education tech industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
  • An outstanding communicator, gifted in the art of “selling through writing”
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across teams with competing needs
  • Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fast and nimble research capabilities—ability to synthesize essential information from large, complex documents
  • A team player who works productively and cooperatively with a wide range of people and personalities
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and other standard business applications
