What To Expect
- You will write information about a product or service to suit the needs and tasks of a specific user.
- You will organise the information in a way to ensure a frictionless customer experience.
- You will publish the information in a format suited for the information (for example, HTML, PDF, and online help).
- You will review and revise information for accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- You will ensure that the information is reviewed by subject matter experts and approved for publication.
- You will be an advocate for the user when designing and developing information about products and services.
- You will work with IT teams to ensure that the information is delivered on time.
- Experience in writing information about technical, legal, or financial subjects for a specific audience type is an asset
- Possess a degree in English, Technical Communications, or a computing-related discipline
- Team player, with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to learn about technology products and services
- Willing to collaborate in an Agile development environment
- Able to work to deadlines, and to follow best practices
- Comfortable with organising and synthesising information for an audience
- Work quickly and accurately within strict time constraints
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Ability to chunk and organise information for an audience type
- Previous technical writing, communications, or publication experience is an asset
- Knowledge of general computing or networking terms and concepts
- Interest in technology and new trends
- Knowledge of SWIFT products or services, finance, and computing topics is a bonus
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Windows, Linux, and UNIX
- Adobe Acrobat
- Acrolinx
- Familiarity with Alfresco/Componize or another component content management system (CCMS) is a bonus
- Knowledge of oXygen Editor, other XML or HTML editors, and DITA are a bonus
