Job Description:
SECTION ONE: OVERVIEW / SUMMARY
Works closely and collaboratively with MCSO team members, cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts, as well as external solutions providers in the continuous planning and execution of the content lifecycle on intranet sites. The Intranet Content Specialist plays an important role in ensuring that product, pricing, promotion and other company information is displayed on the intranet for users in a clear, timely and accurate manner.
SECTION TWO: JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with key stakeholders, authors/content contributors, and users to understand their intranet needs and ensure internal communication and other business goals are met
Create and maintain content for intranet sites and other related internal web tools in accordance with plans, policies, procedures and agreed-upon schedules/ timelines; ensure all content is optimized for search engine results and reporting
Manage the receipt and development of data, images, and content; proofread and edit content/ copy prior to publishing
Own communications to and from authors/ content contributors and users, providing timely responses and status updates following receipt of content submissions, inquiries, comments or suggestions
Perform regular reviews and audits of intranet properties to ensure quality and that content is up-to-date, accurate and relevant; work closely with stakeholders to update, change or remove content
Manage the storage of content (e.g. images, animations, music and video); archive and back-up content as needed
Identify design and functional enhancements and collaborate with other functional groups in the ongoing optimization of the site and corresponding tools
Consult with Content Managers and Developers on the design and creation of interactive content and templates
Participate in the development and implementation of methods to effectively promote utilization of intranet sites and corresponding tools to desired audiences
Collaborate across the enterprise to ensure appropriate branding and consistency of look
Execute content management activities including maintenance and updates to keywords, forms and tools, product indices, pricing & promotional offerings and other content
SECTION THREE: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in web content design/development/ navigability/management or field related to the subject areas with coursework in web content design/navigability
3 to 5 years' experience in website content creation and management, including managing content lifecycles and daily content publishing
Experience using content management systems such as Oracle Web Center Sites or Adobe Experience Manager required
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, text editor, Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills required; experienced in accurate usage of spelling, grammar, and punctuation required
Attention to details required
Pro-active and self-motivated with ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Research And Information Organization Skills Required
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team with people at varying organizational levels
