Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key member of the team that delivers the advanced orchestration and automation of complex end-user computing platforms (virtual desktops, streaming applications and digital workspace) from start to end across different cloud environments.

You will be responsible for managing and deploying our AWS Environments. This includes Dizzion’s mission-critical Cosmos Control Center (C3). This SaaS application automatically builds, customizes, and operates an advanced digital workspace.
You will have knowledge of professional Cloud Infrastructure management (AWS) including automated software deployment.
You will implement best practices for the full software deployment life cycle, including infrastructure security, scaling, optimization, code deployment standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
You will be encouraged to design infrastructure as a code platform that delivers a resilient global SaaS application(s) while maintaining a firm understanding of software architecture that conforms to the reference architecture.
This position requires cloud infrastructure management and development skills in Core Java, Lambda, Python and Powershell; including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
You will have hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from cloud (containers, virtualization, instances) through to back-end systems (security, databases) and all points in between (analysis and approach to the problem). This role requires a solid understanding of TCPIP, Cloud services, Virtualization, Containers, installing Linux web-based solutions, networking concepts, micro-services, and event driven architecture.
You will have experience with distributed computing and enterprise systems, driving the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications including but not limited to databases, tools, systems and services using service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design, distributed programming, Java, and SQL.
You will be responsible for the architecting and engineering of various and complex aspects of platform architecture and services in a cloud hosted infrastructures which might include network, compute, storage, application servers, middleware, and database.

Role, Responsibilities & Requirements

Requirements

Must be a US resident
Must be a US citizen or Green Card Holder
Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or relevant field
5+ years of AWS/Azure, CI/CD, MySQL, and Ansible experience
Experience with cloud technologies, virtualization, containers, web services, rest, APIs
Understanding of distributed systems
Excellent debugging, unit and functional testing
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
Strong work ethic and professional integrity
Ability to handle multiple competing matters with poise
Ability to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
Experience with creating and managing globally redundant & scalable AWS environments
Experience maintaining cloud application servers that are automated and centrally managed
Experience in Data Warehouse design
Experience with Linux, performance engineering, observability practices
Experience with TCPIP, Cloud services, Virtualization, Containers, installing Linux web-based solutions, networking concepts, micro-services, and event-driven architecture
Experience with core Java, Lambda, Python, and Powershell; including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
Understanding of cloud deployment tools such as Jenkins, GITLab, Bamboo and Urban Code Deploy
Experience with Java, Spring, HTML5, CSS, C++, Python, JavaScript, Redux, Angular, REACT
REST API services programming
Infrastructure security, encryption, and understanding of PCI compliance and requirements
Experience with Rally, JIRA, SharePoint
Experience with Kubernetes, Tanzu and/or Docker
Experience in Agile
Experience with Lambda
Experience with Aurora Postgres
Experience with MongoDB
Knowledge of Elasticsearch
