Mandatory Requirements


  • Must be a US Resident & US Citizen/Green card holder
  • Must have 5 years of IT generalist experience or equivalent
  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Must have an experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Windows Server environments 
  • Experience implementing virtualization solutions leveraging VMware and Hyper-V including the deployment and maintenance of server, storage, and backup solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM)
  • Working knowledge of Defender for Endpoint o Experience working with and deploying Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint


Job Description


This role is intended for a dynamic individual excited about the opportunity to use technology to help drive customer success while building a successful business with a collaborative and customer-centric culture.


  • Deliver IT support, project planning, and technical delivery services to a broad range of departments and end users
  • Assist with and take the lead projects from initial assessment, through planning, design, and implementation  
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, support, and optimize Microsoft Windows Server environments  
  • Implement virtualization solutions leveraging VMware and Hyper-V including the deployment and maintenance of server, storage, and backup solutions
  • Deploy and manage technology solutions to implement disaster recovery
  • Deploy and manage technology solutions built on Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Implement, deploy, and maintain office productivity and security solutions using Microsoft 365
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain network and network security solutions from various vendors
  • Meraki experience is an asset (switches and access points)
  • Provide leadership and assistance to colleagues and future employees to foster a collaborative work environment and culture
  • Work with leadership team to identify appropriate vendors for partnership and foster strong relationships with those vendors
  • Assist with the development of proposals and pre-sales exercises including the presentation of technologies and solution proposals to clients and prospective clients
  • Develop, define, or improve solution offerings for customers using new and emerging technologies
  • Develop strong and lasting customer relationships with key staff
  • Pass certification exams and complete training as appropriate to demonstrate skillset and to foster strong vendor relationships
  • Participate in trade shows and other business development exercises
  • Other duties as required by the Employer, such as the completion of expense reports and timesheets
  • Travel is expected to our US sawmill locations (between 30-50%)

  • Must have Post-secondary education in Computer Sciences along with a minimum of 5 years of IT generalist experience or equivalent
  • Experience working in an industrial environment
  • Must have an experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, Microsoft Windows Server environments 
  • Experience implementing virtualization solutions leveraging VMware and Hyper-V including the deployment and maintenance of server, storage, and backup solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM)
  • Working knowledge of Defender for Endpoint o Experience working with and deploying Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Point-to-Point wireless technologies
  • Provide technical support and escalation response to both end-users and IT staff
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise for clients with hardware, software, or configuration problems
  • Create accurate and effective documentation and develop standards
  • Knowledge of IT auditing and inventory management process
  • Knowledge of licensing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and act as a facilitator
  • A flexible team player with a proven ability to work successfully in a matrix reporting environment
  • Strong drive to stay current and cutting edge in an ever-changing IT environment
