Job Description

As a Sr. Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the cloud migration and legacy decommissioning strategies. You will be building and supporting legacy systems migration to Agile cloud environments. You will be refactoring legacy applications in a cloud-based architecture.

You will be responsible for:

• Build and maintain existing and future cloud-based solutions in an agile environment using scrum methodology
• Build and maintain Azure-based front-end, Microservices
• Developing in Azure and supporting development sprints
• Follows best practices and standards to develop technical solutions through the project lifecycle, including build, design, test, deployment, and sustainment activities
• Flexibility is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing needs
• Candidate should work well under pressure; have strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Work with various IMT groups (infrastructure, network, security, database applications, Service Desk, other project teams, etc.) to identify and solve problems
• Some specific solutions work as required for individual projects
• Engage with vendors as needed to support technology solution
• Implement the cloud migration and legacy decommissioning strategies.
• Build and support legacy systems migration to Agile cloud environments.
• Refactor legacy applications in a cloud-based architecture.

Key Deliverables:

• Analyze existing problems with software and recommends and develop solutions (40%)
• Analyze technical requirements and design, develop, code, and test software solutions or significant enhancements. (30%)
• Develop technical expertise for sustainment of developed solutions (20%)
• Cross-train technical support team to provide resource coverage (10%)

• 3+ years of current and deep experience with implementing large engagements.
• 3+ Years mix of hands-on experience with architectural design and strategic business acumen
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying web applications
• 3+ years of server-side experience
• 3+ years of experience with SASS/SCSS
• Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript/NodeJS
• Experience in could architecture preferred
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience using 3rd party APIs (REST)
• Experience with Git
• Working in teams and understanding the roles of each person on the project team
• Ability to work with teams across IT as required (deployment/test teams, infrastructure, security, application support teams)
• Ability to work with business contacts
