Technical Writer (m/w/d)

As a technical writer, you are responsible for the developer documentation for our ecommerce software of the same name, "Shopware". You will maintain and develop the structure and content of our developer documentation in very close cooperation with the various engineering teams. Your mission is to write the "big picture" of our software for developers outside our company and to provide it as structured content.

No matter where you’re based, you’ll be an integral part of the team. We’re looking for a Technical Writer (m/f/d) across Europe!

These are your tasks:

• You are responsible for creating content for our software documentation, and you work closely with our development teams
• You bring the complex relationships of our software into a written structure that helps developers create features and plug-ins
• You review the documentation and pay particular attention to quality
• You ensure continuous improvement of the documentation content by preparing it with additional media (e.g. diagrams or videos)
• You are available to the members of our community for questions about the documentation
• You would enjoy giving internal coaching on the subject of software documentation in the future

This is what you'll bring to the table:

• You already have experience in writing, editing, researching, and planning software documentation
• You also have sound, theoretical knowledge in the field of software development and software architecture
• You have excellent language skills and excellent knowledge of English, preferably at C1 level or higher
• You easily grasp complex contexts and can write them in such a way that they form the basis for the work of our target group
