The technical writer is responsible for creating/modifying various technical documents with a focus on applications development processes/procedures, including infrastructure diagrams and various other artifacts as it relates to the SDLC.
This person must be an accomplished writer who can convey complex technical concepts/solutions, security, and compliance information within the IT organization in a highly readable format. The technical writer will work in collaboration with a wide array of people and disciplines within the organization to create, combine, and refine information as it relates to many aspects of software development policy and procedures.
This person must be able to proactively engage with key participants/stakeholders to ensure all documents/artifacts produced are appropriate, effective, readable and useful.
Skill
Required / Desired
Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to create new content as requirements are refined/created
Required
Experience translating complex technical information from many sources into clear and concise documentation both in writing and graphical format
Required
Ability to easily work with organizational staff from various technical areas and management levels
Required
Attention to detail with respect to grammar, spelling, and other editing errors
Required
Ability to handle sensitive information and material in compliance with internal/external requirements
Required
proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines
Required
in-depth knowledge of Microsoft office products (word,excel,visio,etc)
