Position
We are in search of a writer to play an integral role in business development and client service efforts through the completion of Requests For Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFI), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for AB’s Private Wealth Management distribution channel. The writer will work with the RFP team, the Foundation & Institutional Advisory team and other subject matter experts, Financial Advisors, and Private Client Associates. This individual will contribute to the business development process by effectively conveying the strategy through well-written and effective RFPs and other proposals. In addition, the RFP Writer will become a “content specialist” and will work in conjunction others to help maintain the content management system. This position is flexible in terms of location.

Job Qualifications
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to take on diverse tasks and manage many priorities simultaneously and with time constraints
- Introductory knowledge of/desire to learn capital markets and sales processes
- Experience in the RFP, grant writing, technical writing, or similar space

- Demonstrated experience in customizing projects to specific prospect requirements and guidelines
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Experience in the RFP, grant writing, technical writing, or similar space
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro and able to quickly master internal systems and applications. Salesforce experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Write proposals for Private Wealth distribution channel, which includes nonprofit, high net worth individual and family, defined contribution, and defined benefit proposals
- Work directly with Portfolio Managers, Senior Investment Strategists, Research Heads, Traders, Operations staff, and others to complete proposals
- Maintain consistency and quality of language and data in RFP database
- Customize final documents to reflect a nuanced response to the specific opportunity
- Engage in follow-up work associated with RFPs moving to the next phase: coordinating answers, obtaining additional information, etc.
- Collaborate with various departments throughout the firm to develop new language and obtain needed information, including but not limited to legal, operations, portfolio management, product management/marketing, Asset Under Management AUM reporting, and performance
- Field ad-hoc questions and requests from associates, advisors, managing directors, and other internal stakeholders, escalating to senior communications specialists when necessary
