We are looking for a Content Specialist with the ability to write and edit content for a wide range of marketing communications. The successful candidate will be an extremely talented, passionate, and detailed writer who will aid in the planning, development, generation and implementation of our content marketing strategy. The Content Specialist is responsible for the timely delivery and quality of marketing content that is tailored to our target audience, in close collaboration with internal subject matter experts and teams. He or she understands how to create the right type of content for the different stages of the buyer's journey.

The ideal person is someone who can dive in and easily get a feel for our brand and voice, quickly be immersed in the diverse transit technologies we write about and create targeted content that generates engagement amongst our target audience, moves leads through our funnel, and ultimately influences sales opportunities.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit a wide variety of content, including product overviews and descriptions, case studies, whitepapers, e-books, email, blog, landing pages, press releases, videos, events, social and presentation decks
  • Work closely with the Content Marketing Manager to develop concepts into specific content that will feed into strategic marketing campaigns spanning across multiple touch points (website, print, email, content hubs etc.)
  • Work with internal subject matter experts, external production specialists and undertake research to develop content that achieves response from our target markets.
  • Strategize with the marketing team on the appropriate targets for campaigns (target buyer persona, best content type and channel to reach that persona, metrics etc.)
  • Utilize industry and organizational knowledge to develop ideas and content
  • Draft and edit assigned content for multiple channels at once
  • Measure and report to showcase how content is performing against business objectives and targets.

Qualifications

  • 5 years' experience in producing high quality marketing content.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic for content creation
  • With an excellent attention to detail (you catch grammar and spelling mistakes easily)
  • A strategic thinker who can approach content creation from a strategic lens, asking the value of the content we’re creating, what we’re trying to achieve, and optimize content if metrics aren’t being met
  • Strong writing skills
  • Hands-on and eager to roll up sleeves to get things done in an agile, collaborative environment
  • Great interpersonal skills, able to work with key stakeholders internally and externally to the business
  • Excellent project management skills, able to work independently on multiple projects at once
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Media, Journalism or Communications.
  • A portfolio of work showcasing your content writing skills, preferably in a B2B marketing environment.
