The women’s and men’s national table tennis team struck out their ticket to the Team Table Tennis World Cup after achieving important victories in the group stage of the Pan American Championship, which takes place in Lima, Peru.


Both teams also advanced the event’s main draw on Wednesday.


The men’s team made up of Daniel González, Brian Afanador, Ángel Naranjo and Richard Pietri Jr. began their way to the World Cup and the next round yesterday by beating Guyana and today they won a decisive victory against the Ecuadorian team.


For its part, the women’s team made up of Melanie Díaz, Daniely Ríos and Fabiola Díaz qualified with a victory over Colombia and another against Guyana, by confiscation.
