Dior Night Bird Eyeshadow Palette - 2 minutes read

Night Bird (459)

Dior Night Bird (459) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette is a new, limited edition palette from the brand’s fall collection. All five shades had semi-opaque to opaque color coverage, were blendable, and long-lasting. The formula felt like a gel-powder hybrid, so they have a more “baked” quality to them, which can require a slightly heavier hand if one is used to working with more powdery formulas.

Night Bird #1

Night Bird #1 is a medium, olive green with moderate, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture was smooth, moderately dense but not stiff to work with, and blendable. It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage that wore well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Night Bird #2

Night Bird #2 is a light yellow with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, smooth texture that was moderately dense, slightly firm but not stiff, so it had no powderiness but blended out beautifully. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Night Bird #3

Night Bird #3 is a medium orange-coral with warm undertones and a soft, satiny sheen. The eyeshadow had mostly opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well as the texture was soft, smooth, and blendable without being too firmly nor too softly pressed into the pan. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Night Bird #4

Night Bird #4 is a muted, medium-dark forest green with a slightly cooler, almost bluish base and warmer, olive shimmer throughout. The color itself appeared bluer in the pan but ended up looking green on my skin. The texture was soft, blendable, and a little powdery but seemed to “melt” after a few minutes on my lid. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Night Bird #5

Night Bird #5 has a blackened brown base with subtle, warm undertones and cooler flecks of blue and green-teal sparkle. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a soft, moderately dense consistency that was firm without being stiff. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
