In the book, Baker also establishes the factors that can affect the decline in sales of a product and how to deal with them (Baker, 2008).

The other source that is useful for this research is the book Concepts of Marketing written by Raja Vikram. This book offers information on the concepts of marketing and different methods that organization management can use for improving or increasing sales.

Hypotheses

The value of a product and the nature of the market together with other external forces affect the market of a certain product. It is relevant and significant for an organization, which plans to improve the sales of its products. There are different factors that can be addressed to ensure that the market of a product is improved and the challenges are eliminated. Marketing theory can be used to change the market of a product through engaging mass media, changing the value of a product, identifying the target group of the product, and inducing motivation to the product user. However, to acquire all these, it is essential to employ proper orientation of a product (Abell, 1980).

Data Collection, Methodology, and Proposed Analysis

This paper uses two sources of data to answer the research question (Vikram, 2007). The first method of gathering data will be primary or original data collection from different respondents. The study will also use secondary data from literature review of marketing researches in the certain sphere.

At the same time, the mass media is also essential in establishing the factors that have contributed the development of a raw market for the product. Moreover, the mass media can point out is the factors necessary for the company to become more competitive in the market.

On the other hand, quantitative analysis will also be used in the form of questionnaires to determine people’s tastes and preference in the market (Lindlof & Taylor, 2002). It works through acquiring first-hand information direct from consumers and enlightening the company in terms of the required improvements.

The difference between the two ways of studying the data is that in qualitative analysis the researcher has an idea in advance while in quantitative one the researcher must have clear information in advance. The other difference is that in qualitative analysis the person conducting the research is the information-gathering instrument. On the other hand, in quantitative analysis the researcher utilizes tools, for example questionnaires, to collect information (Marshall & Rossman, 2008).
