Online Writing Jobs: 7 Factors That Influence How Much You Can Earn - 3 minutes read

Paid online jobs

I have chosen to write about how much you can earn with online writing jobs because there are a lot of deceptions out there about online writing jobs and how much you can earn. This is one of the things that scams use to deceive people. But the first thing you should know is that it is not a scam to say that you can earn money by writing online.

The question now is how much can I earn as an online writer. This depends on a lot of factors and I will examine them one after the other.

1. Your employer; what you can earn as an online writer depends on who hired you. I say this because I have been paid higher for the same type of work that another employer paid me less.

2. How much are you writing? This has a great influence on your pay. A person that is writing an article of about 1000 words will be paid higher than one who is writing a short story of 250-300 words.

3. What is the quality of what you are writing? The quality of the written content will also influence how much you can earn. In this case, you may find a person that is writing an article of just 700 words being paid higher than one that is writing an article of 1000-1500 words. The reason might be that the latter may just be based on quantity while the former may be based on quality.

4. How much research is required? This influences the pay greatly. A writing work that will need a lot of research will pay higher than one that just needs you to write something from your head.

5. Are you a native English writer? Most times, native English writers get paid higher than other English writers especially those with English as their second language. And by native, I mainly mean writers from the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. But persons from other countries with English as a first language and who are good English speakers can also be included here.

6. Are you a professional on the topic? This is just straightforward. A medical doctor will earn more in writing about medical topics, an accountant on financial topics, a lawyer on topics relating to law, etc.

7. Are you a professional English writer? In this case, you don't necessarily need to be a professional in the required field. You may just need to do a little research on the field that you are required to write about. These individuals can be said to be the real owners of writing jobs. And I have come to see that individuals that fall under numbers 6 and 7 are among the highest-paid writers.

These are some of the major factors that influence how much you can earn with online writing jobs.
