Amazon is a P.O.S.

This is my first thread ever on SD. I want to write about something that really pissed me off and I hope this is the right section of the forum. I've been comparing the Nest Protect and the First Alert Z-Wave smoke/co detector for my home. The Nest Protect has (had) amazing reviews on Amazon with a 5-1 star ratio of 11:1 or something of that nature but its triple the price of the First Alert alarm I was eyeballing, and that only had a star ratio of like 5 or 6 :1. I go back and check again today by doing a search for "Nest Protect", not only have the reviews for the Nest Protect been lowered AND the price has gone up by like $40, and to add insult to injury, the first product for sale is a !@#%ing First Alert OneLink w/ Alexa built-in. The ratio for the Nest Protect now is like 1.5:1. I'm assuming most of you know that Google owns Nest and are fully aware of the fight between them and the competing ecosystems. This really pisses me off. Does anybody else see this as a problem as much as I do or not so much? There is obviously the slight chance that I'm getting the products/reviews mixed up and my memory is off, but I HIGHLY doubt it as I was blown away by seeing all of the positive reviews of the Nest Protect just a few days earlier.
