Mother of Two, Sick of Looking Old & Fat; Loses 160 Pounds and MORE! - 8 minutes read

Story tammy nutrisystem

Whenever I hear people talking about their New Year’s resolution to reduce or how they're happening this diet or that diet in order that they can look better during a bikini, I never know whether I should tell them that I’ve lost plenty of weight using (mostly) the Atkins 40 diet and more recently, a combo of two different diets, but more on those later.

I mean, why should anyone take my word for it? Although I even have a couple of pictures (unfortunately, most of my personal items were lost during a flood) they could think that I’m bragging or that I’m just exaggerating. I usually don’t say anything unless they ask. It's true that i used to be thin as a toddler , but it’s because i used to be very sickly until i used to be about 11 years old.

I had pneumonia once I was 6 weeks old, and it seems as if I got it again almost per annum then . I used to be so thin at one point that an honest gust of wind under my umbrella actually picked me up off the ground! My mother tried to stay to weight on me, but within the worst way possible. Snacks were cookies or cake or frozen dessert .

She bribed me to eat by saying that if I finished my plate I could have cookies or brownies. It set me up for a appetite that has been my undoing. The weight began to point out once I was about 10. My mother was originally happy, but by the time i used to be 13, i used to be downright fat. i used to be a mere 5 feet (1.52 m) tall, and weighed 150 pounds (ca. 68 kg).

Then she tried threats to urge me reduce , such as, if I didn’t lose X number of pounds by next month, she wouldn’t take me shopping. It didn’t work because I couldn’t fit into any cute clothes anyway, so, I ignored her. i started to cover packages of cookies under my bed. I got married at 19 and although my husband liked me fat, I didn’t. i used to be disgusted by my photograph .

I used to be now 5 feet (1.52 m) 5 inches (ca. 13 cm) and weighed 200 pounds (ca. 91 kg). One of my friends told me about how he had lost weight through this amazing program called Atkins. He loaned me his book, and that i spent the weekend reading it. Now this was the first Atkins, which recommended 20 grams of carbs every day or less.

It sounded crazy, honestly. How are you able to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast and call it a diet? I made a decision to require the book’s recommendation and check out it for a weekend. What did I even have to lose? (sorry about the pun) I lost 7 pounds (3.18 kg). Seven pounds in one weekend! i used to be sold. I stuck thereto diet! My husband complained that i used to be getting to get scurvy from not eating fruit which i used to be getting "too skinny".

I ignored him (but did attempt to let him see me eat little piece of fruit now and then). I lost 35 pounds (ca. 16 kg) the primary month, and 15 monthly then . I used to be thrilled. One of the items I didn’t concentrate to, however, was that i used to be alleged to gradually start increasing my carbs until i started to realize to weight, then crop in order that I could maintain my weight. I stayed thereon but 20 grams program for probably 4 years! My kidneys hurt after a short time and that i visited the doctor, who was horrified about my diet. He told me to urge off or risk renal failure .

I went off the Atkins diet. i used to be 25 and weighed 130. Well, i need to say that subsequent few years were crazy, but fun. I ended up getting divorced (hubby didn’t like me being so thin) I went on tons of dates and ate everything in view . I took a special job in another city and moved away. By the time i used to be 32, I weighed 230. I remember watching the size and suddenly realizing that I weighed more now than I ever did in my life. I couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without having to catch my breath.

My idea of exercise was walking through the grocery store! However, i used to be afraid to travel back to the Atkins diet. I had to try to something however, so i made a decision to undertake Multisystem. I loved the thought of never having to cook, never having to count carbs or calories, everything was finished me! However, I wasn’t very proud of the worth , nor how I felt. Within the 1990s, it cost me $200 to hitch , then $60 every week for food. On top of all that, i used to be hungry. All. The. Time. I did all types of things to undertake to stay my mind off food, but it had been so difficult! I’m very stubborn, however, and that i stuck thereto for 1 year. I lost 60 pounds (ca. 27 kg).

This was maddening to me because I lost that in about 3 months with Atkins. My life was changing again, and that i accepted a special job that had extremely high stress levels. i ended Multisystem and decided that I could roll in the hay myself. I really did try! And after 2 months, I gained back 10 pounds (4.54 kg). I remember crying all weekends because I just didn’t know what to do! I knew I couldn’t keep, “starving” myself, but I used to be determined that I wasn’t getting to put that weight back on. Weight Watchers I tried the load Watchers Points system for about 6 months.

While i used to be very excited about it initially , marking all the boxes within the house with their points per serving, looking up recipes, etc. I found that fees were pretty high for what I used to be getting. I didn’t just like the looks I got from others during those weigh in’s either. Perhaps some people find these sorts of support groups really work for them, but that wasn’t the case with me. I also found that I used to be hungry most of the time. While i assumed that might pass after a couple of days, it didn’t, and that i quit after a couple of months, really disappointed.

While reading about diet plans, I heard a few drug called determine. it had been a part of the Fen-Fen combination that didn’t hurt the guts . Better of all, at that point , I used to be ready to pip out of the web . Nobody had to understand , I didn’t need to weigh in or anything . And I must admit it worked sort of charm. Especially within the beginning, I only took 1 pill every day and that i found that, not only did I even have plenty of energy; I had no desire to eat. None.

I could eat, but I simply didn’t want to. I remember sometimes going 36 hours without eating! i used to be so proud! i used to be so happy! It only took a couple of months,, and that i was backtrack to 130! But because the saying goes, all goodies come to an end. After a few years, one pill didn't do the trick. Within 6 months, 3 pills each day didn't do the trick.

My body had become familiar with determine. Then came the day I could not pip out online. It had become a prohibited substance without a prescription. Again, within a matter of months, the load began to creep to back at a rate of about 2 pounds (0.91 kg) every week .

I used to be soon back at 230. After going full on kidney destroying protein with the first Atkins, paying outrageous prices for Multisystem food (which wasn’t that tasty) and Weight Watchers, risking my health with diet pills, and always falling back on Atkins 40, I feel I'd have found a Natural solution.
