Shoppers hail 'amazing' £1.99 Home Bargains fabric shaver which gets rid of bobbles on clothes

We all like to make our clothes go that extra mile - and one savvy bargain hunter has found a way to do just that with a £1.99 electric lint remover.

The hand-held product from Home Bargains, also known as a 'de-bobbler', has a small rotating blade inside a plastic case which removes bobbles on clothes - making them look brand new.

Sharing her tip with before and after photos on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the shopper showed the difference from using the fabric shaver.

Members of the group raved about the gadget, which gave a new lease of life to an old yellow hoodie, while others insisted they would be buying one soon.

Sparking the conversation, the woman's post read: 'Bought this de-bobbler from Home Bargains for £1.99, hate when my hoodies get bobbles on.

'Worked wonders and only needed batteries! I wouldn't trust myself using razors.'

The post soon racked up more than 2,000 likes and around 500 comments from enthusiastic social media users.

One wrote: 'Omg I need this. I have a dress from Outfit I wore once and it bobbled so bad, I've never been able to wear it since.'

Another said: 'Omg need! Often use a razor and put holes in things. Can't bear bobbles.'

'Good to know it works, I've looked at it many times but not picked it up in case it was no good,' a third added.

To use the gadget, shoppers guide it over their garments and it safely removes pulled and loose threads or the build up of bobbles and lint.

It comes after make-up lovers praised a 99p collection from the bargain store for being just as good as high-end brands that cost up to 10 times the price.

Posting on their Instagram page, Home Bargains shared the range by Olivia Hale,  which starts at less than a pound.

And the cheap collection has been inundated with five star reviews from shoppers online, with many commending the products for being 'great value for money'.

'I've used Mac, Benefit, Urban Decay, Chanel mascaras and none of them are as good as the 99p Olivia Hale one I got from Home Bargains,' enthused one.
