Chest Muscles:


The chest is home to the pectoralis major, our body's own version of a superhero cape. This robust, fan-like muscle extends from the sanctuary of the armpit, reaches up to the collarbone, and cascades down across the lower chest region on both sides. The two halves meet at the sternum, our body's natural shield, also known as the breastbone. This muscular cape, the pectoralis major, drapes a significant part of the front upper torso, serving as a symbol of strength and protection.


Back Muscles:


The back muscles, on the other hand, are like the intricate wiring behind a masterpiece painting. They start their journey just under the skull, traverse across the shoulders, and descend to the lower back, just above the hips. They form connections with the ribs, the vertebrae (the building blocks of the spine), the shoulder blades, and the neck. The back muscles are divided into two main groups: the extrinsic (superficial) and intrinsic (deep) muscles. The extrinsic muscles, including the trapezius and latissimus dorsi, reside closer to the surface, are involved in shoulder movements, and assist in respiration. The intrinsic muscles, including the erector spinae and transvers spinal muscles, dwell deeper and are the primary movers of the vertebral column.

When it comes to the area they cover, the back muscles are like a vast landscape, spanning the entire length of the spine, from the base of the skull to the lower back. The chest muscles, while formidable, are primarily nestled in the upper front torso. However, the exact area can vary among individuals due to factors such as body size, muscle mass, and individual anatomical nuances. It's a testament to the uniqueness of each human body.
