Best Gaming Chair [2019]

Best Overall: AKRacing Core Series EX-Wide Our favorite gaming chair is the AKRacing Core Ex-Wide. It’s reasonable priced, comfortable, ergonomic (lumbar pillow support for back and neck) and most importantly, it’s what the pros use. You’ll find it on many esports events, from League of Legends to Fortnite, as well as in the homes of countless of Twitch streamers, that spend up to 12 hours on it everyday.

Budget Pick: DESINO Racing Gaming Chair When you want a good gaming chair without a high price tag, the DESINO Racing is the way to go. It gives you a lot of features without pounding you with a heavy price tag. Sure, there are some trade-offs and it won’t be as well built as a $200+ chair, but for the budget-minded, those trade-offs are worth it and it’ll easily beat your average office chair in terms of comfort.

Premium Pick: Vertagear S-Line 5000 Model VG-SL5000 If you don’t mind spending a little more for comfort, we definitely recommend the Vertagear SL5000. It’s incredibly comfortable, made from quality materials and is perfectly adjustable to your needs (4D armrest etc.). Literally everything on this chair is high class and it should easily last you for years. On top of that it’s probably the most comfortable thing you’ll ever sit in.

Best Gaming Chair With Sound: X Rocker Pro Series HD Model 51259 With 4.1 audio and a shaker module, this has one of the best sound platforms in a gaming chair we’ve ever seen. The speakers face out to give you a full surround effect. If you don’t have a great sound system in place already, this is a great chair for your gaming rig.

Have you been on the fence about getting a gaming chair?

Gaming chairs have become popular over the past few years. In fact, gaming chairs are actually starting to replace traditional office chairs. But, which gaming chair do you choose?

We’ve looked through hundreds of gaming chairs to find the best ones for you. The ones we’ve found are built for hours upon hours of use while providing immense comfort. They are considered “budget-friendly” and they look pretty darn good.

Today, we’re going to show you what we believe are the best gaming chairs for 2019.

The first gaming chair we’re going to look at today is the X Rocker Pro Series HD. This chair is produced by a company called Ace Bayou who creates gaming equipment built to perform.

This is a rocker-style chair that comes equipped with 4.1 audio (four speakers plus a subwoofer). But, they didn’t stop there, finding a way to include an additional shaker to really add the extra depth to your gaming experience. Audio can be received using RCA audio cables, a 3.5 MM headphone cable, or through the built-in wireless receiver. You can connect a set of headphones to the chair as well, but it will disable the vibration effect.

The gaming chair comes fully assembled so you can take it from the box to your gaming station immediately. It is wrapped in a black (only color) faux leather with gray trimming strategically placed for accent lines. The armrests are extremely durable and fold down for portability. It is not outlandish in design and will fit in most environments.

For starters, this chair is loaded with speakers. With four dedicated speakers and a subwoofer, this is one of the best sounding gaming chairs we’ve ever heard. The added vibration module really takes it to a whole new level, making explosions more realistic than ever.

If you want a gaming chair that is extremely comfortable, extremely durable, built for long, grueling sessions, looks great, and sounds great, then the X Rocker Pro Series HD should be on your list. While it doesn’t have a USB or HDMI connection, it has plenty of alternatives that will work for most gaming systems.

Now, if four speakers, a subwoofer, and a shaker module are a little too much for you (is that possible?), then you’re going to love the X Rocker II.

This is another Rocker style chaired that comes with 2.1 audio (two speakers plus a subwoofer). Unlike its bigger brother, this one does not come with a shaker module. Also, the speakers fire forward from right behind your ears rather than from the side like the X Rocker Pro Series HD. Even without the shaker module, the subwoofer puts out more than enough bump for most users. As far as audio input options go, nothing changes from the previous big brother to this unit.

This gaming chair also comes fully preassembled and ready to go right out of the box. This chair is wrapped in a black (only color) for leather with black stitching. The base of the chair and the armrests are chrome/gray. Again, the armrests are extremely durable and they fold-down, and the chair itself also folds up for easier storage. This chair may stand out in some environments as it is a little wider than normal with a color scheme that might clash in a non-modern environment.

even though this chair does not come with as many speakers, the front facing design helps to overload your senses. The subwoofer is still very strong, providing more than enough thump for most users.

The X-Rocker II Model is essentially a smaller version than its bigger brother and comes with less features for a smaller price point. The high quality black leather construction and 2.1 audio are the main standouts.

The last two rocker chairs that we reviewed sat on the floor, but this next one sits on a pedestal.

Again, this is another rocker style chair that is equipped with 2.1 audio (two speakers plus a subwoofer). This one does come with the shaker module included to enhance your gaming experience. The speakers are nestled in the headrest and the subwoofer is located in the back of the chair. When using the symbol for a loan, you will notice that it lacks the depth some of the other chairs have. But, the included shaker module will easily make up for any loss from the included subwoofer. Again, this chair is equipped with RCA audio inputs and 3.5 MM audio inputs as well as a wireless receiver. It does not have HDMI or USB connections, so you may need to use an adapter/converter if your gaming system does not have the other audio outputs.

This gaming chair does not come preassembled and it will take about 30 minutes to put it together. When assembled, the chair should be a little over 1 foot off of the floor. Now, the X Rocker Extreme III is a visual masterpiece. The chair is primarily wrapped in a black leather with gray accent pieces and a red centerpiece from mid back to the butt. The headrest is a deep black mesh material that is extremely comfortable. The armrests are black and they do fold up. Because of the design, this chair is not foldable (or portable).

Adding the pedestal to a rocker is one of the best ideas ever. Rockers are already extremely comfortable, but giving it a pedestal turns it into a full-fledged chair. The color scheme is a visual masterpiece.

Sometimes, the right gaming chair is just an accessory away. In this case, adding a pedestal is all you needed to make this one of the best gaming chairs you can buy. While it would have been nice to have 4.1 audio is set of 2.1 audio, there’s not a lot else that we can find wrong with this chair.

Now that we’ve had a chance to look at several amazing rocker chairs, it’s time that we look at a few racing chairs. Racing chairs are designed to cradle your body like the seat of a car. Most of them do not come with speakers and/or shaking modules. Instead, they are normally considered the crème de la crème of the gaming chair industry.

The S-Line 5000 is a racing style chair that immediately jumps out at you as a performance chair. It is wrapped in a black and white faux (fake) leather with a high-resiliency/high-density foam to provide comfort for hours of use. The base is built out of a heavy-duty duty aluminum alloy with five points of contact set on 65 MM casters. For added comfort, you can even add additional headrest support and or lumbar support cushions. It also has the ability to recline (between 80° to 140°) in case you want to relax for a few minutes. Plus, the armrests are adjustable and for directions (front/back, left/right, up/down, and left/right rotation). Even the tilting mechanism is adjustable -pretty much, you can adjust everything.

While this chair does not come preassembled, it has a patented “slide-in” hardware system that makes putting this chair together a breeze. In most cases, a user can put together one of these chairs in under five minutes.

You can purchase this gaming chair in multiple color options including black/blue, black/camo, black/carbon, black/green, black/red, and black/white.

The high-density/high-resiliency foam makes this one of the most comfortable chairs on the market today. With the ability to adjust so many of the chair’s features, it’s easy to find the perfect configuration for your body.

For those looking for an amazing racing style chair, look no further. This is equipped with so many adjustable points, it’s almost not a fair fight. Add in the fact that you have an extreme amount of cushioning with so many color options, and it would be really hard to pass this up.

Here is another racing style chair that has mass visual appeal. This chair is wrapped in a black and red fabric material which has an extremely high breathability rate. In fact, the material alone is soft/supple feel to it. Next, to make this chair so comfortable, they use a cold-cured foam from the top of the chair to the bottom of the chair with different densities for the back and the seat area. AKRacing guarantees their foam for many years due to its extremely high resiliency.

This chair is designed on a steel frame to support almost any body weight and/or size. The chair sits on top of a five-point base attached to plastic castor wheels. To support the weight of the user, they’ve included a Class-4 gas lift that can handle up to 330 pounds. Beyond height adjustment, the chair also has adjustable armrest with the ability to adjust in three different directions (up/down, back/forth, and side rotation).

AKRacing is one of the most respected brands in the gaming industry appearing at events like the Fortnite Pro-Am Tournament, the Zotac Cup Masters: Starcraft Remastered, TwitchCon, and the H1Z1 Pro League. Unlike some other chair manufacturers, AKRacing actually is a race car manufacturer (founded in 2001).

Sometimes it’s nice to not have to deal with vinyl/leather. The breathable cloth fabric used on this chair is so soft. When combined with the dual-density foam, you’ll feel like you’re floating on air.

If you want a chair that is more focused on comfort then looks, this is a chair you need to consider. The extra wide frame, combined with the Class-4 gas lift, makes it easy for larger people to fit comfortably without having to worry about breaking the chair.

Racing chairs generally have the most mass appeal as they tend to work both in a gaming environment and an office environment. DESINO has done a great job of creating a gaming chair that can be used in either environment, with outstanding out too much.

This gaming chair comes in one of three color options: solid black, black and red, black and white. If you are looking for an office chair only, then the solid black color scheme would look the most appropriate. However, if you wanted to stand out or you are looking for a gaming chair with some flash, both the black and red and the black and white color schemes look amazing. The foam is extremely dense, especially in the back. Making this chair even more comfortable is the included headrest support and lumbar support.

As with most racing chairs, this one is built on a steel frame for most any body type and/or weight. However, the chair is only rated for up to 300 pounds with the included Class-3 gas lift. For those looking for adjustability, the chair can recline from 90° to 180°. Plus, it also has a rocking function that is adjustable up to 20° with the ability to adjust the resistance required to engage the rocking feature. Moving around is rather easy using the BIFMA certified casters.

Even though we won’t admit it, sometimes we just like a good-looking chair. And this chair looks great! Admittedly, it’s not the most comfortable chair we’ve ever seen, but it has enough ergonomic design to make up for the lack of cushioning.

This is more of a budget-friendly gaming chair so it’s not going to have as many features as some of the other racing chairs we’ve mentioned. Even so, it looks great in almost any environment.

Now, stepping away from the budget-friendly gaming chair, we’re going to talk about the DXRacer luxury gaming chair. So, what makes this a luxury gaming chair?

For starters, this chair is wrapped in a polyurethane leather which is very thick and heavily cushioned (and that’s before the foam has been introduced). It comes in one of two color options: black and white (gaming) or black and coffee (office environment). Both look great in any environment, but the black and coffee would be best suited in more of a professional environment.

This chair is built for comfort, with an extremely deep cushioned foam seat and a higher backrest than other comparable gaming chairs. And the back can recline up to 135° which is one of the deepest recliners we’ve seen yet. Plus, the adjustable arms have an ultra-wide pad was even more cushioning. Even the polyurethane leather is rippled so you have even more cushioning to rest on. The only things it seems to be missing would be a head pillow and/or a lumbar pillow.

The DXRacer sits on a metal, five-point base with an adjustable gas spring for easy height adjustments. The casters are 2 inches in diameter, which makes it easy to roll over most obstacles including small wires and plugs.

This has to be one of the most comfortable racing gaming chairs we’ve seen yet. This chair is designed for many hours of use, with the manufacturer even claiming that you can easily see eight hours or more without any major discomfort.

If you want to step up to a more luxurious gaming chair, here’s where you start. Instead of using the cheaper leathers, DXRacer decided to use polyurethane leather which is much softer and provides a greater level of cushioning. Plus, the two color options work great in any environment.

For those who just have to have the best possible gaming chair, sometimes you cannot compromise. And GTR Simulator has created one of the most immersive driving simulators/gaming chairs on the market.

Now, this is not your average gaming chair. Instead, it is built with one focus in mind – full immersion. No, it does not come with speakers and a lot of other fancy features. Instead, it’s a seat with the ability to move forward or backward as if you were in an actual vehicle. You have multiple mounting positions for all of your driving and/or flight equipment. You have the ability to mount your steering controls along with your gear shifter. Plus, you have a place for your pedals to be mounted to.

The seat is wrapped in a faux leather that is black with a little cushioning to support you for long periods of time. As far as car seats go, this is fairly close to the real thing. And, the frame is powder coated in a gunmetal gray color. Now, you should know that this does not come assembled – it’s massive. You can purchase expert assembly separately, but be aware that is going to cost you a decent chunk of change.

This is for the “sellouts” – what we mean by that is the ones that are completely sold out to the idea that they have to have the best possible playing experience. When it comes to driving and/or flying, having a stable platform can mean the difference between winning and losing. This has to be one of the best driving/flying simulators we’ve seen yet.

So, this is not going to be used in an office environment. If you play Call of Duty a lot, this chair is probably not going to be what you need. But if you play driving simulators and/or flight simulators, you’ll absolutely love the chair with all the melting points.

Since we decided to look at such an odd gaming chair just a minute ago, let’s keep the trend going. This time we’re going to look at a recliner the doesn’t roll around.

Starting out, this chair is also wrapped in a polyurethane letter which is extremely thick and durable. It does have some color accents and/or stitching options which are blue, purple, red and, white. The accents aren’t so strong that they detract from the basic color scheme meaning this can be used in almost any environment (i.e. home, game room, movie theater).

The focus of this chair is comfort over everything else. It has an extremely thick headrest for you to relax on, a sunken backrest to allow your back room to move, built-in lumbar support for posture correction, and an adjustable footrest that extends out when in reclined mode.

Sometimes you just got a kick back and relax. This is built for those times. No, it does not have speakers, swivels, casters, and gas lifts, but you can fully recline in this when you’re not playing a game (or even during your game if you wanted).

This is a unique gaming chair/recliner in that it doesn’t work in the traditional sense. With that being said, this is one of the most comfortable gaming chairs that you can have. It will work in multiple settings which makes it a great option for your gaming system setup.

And finishing our list is a gaming chair that’s made for big and tall people while giving you a massage too.

So, this chair is wrapped in a polyurethane leather with multiple color options. The color options are black, black/red, black/red/white, black/white, blue/black, blue/red/white, white/black, and white/red/black. In an office environment, the only color option that will look proper would be the generic black; everything else would look good in a gaming environment.

Now, this is a racing chair with a built-in recliner that can recline all the way up to 180°. But, that’s just the beginning. The chair also comes with an adjustable headrest pillow, adjustable armrest they can be adjusted both up or down, a 4.8-inch seat cushion, a 20° rocking function, and an adjustable lumbar support with a built-in massager.

It sits on a Class-4 gas lift with a five-point base frame and super-strong rolling casters. As an aside, this is a chair that is manufactured in China (not a big deal).

Who doesn’t like a massage? If you wanted a racing gaming chair and a reclining chair, here it is. The fact that it massages your lower back during those long, grueling gaming sessions just makes it that much better.

With one of the thickest seat cushions we’ve seen yet, this is got to be one of the most comfortable gaming chairs you’ll find. The included massager just takes it above and beyond anything that we could have imagined.

This racing chair is wrapped in a polyurethane leather which is extremely soft and durable. It’s got a great stitching and accent design using high contrast colors to create a visually stunning gaming chair. To make the chair even more comfortable, they use a high-density shaping foam which will last for years without developing body impressions. The chair comes in seven different color options: black/blue, black/red, black/white, all black, blue, red, and white.

Just like most of the other racing chairs, this is designed on a steel frame with a Class-3 gas lift that can support up to 300 pounds. The chair can be adjusted up to 3.25 inches up/down with armrests that are also adjustable up/down. Additionally, this gaming chair from Homall can recline from 90° to 150°.

This is definitely a chair built for those who are “tall” with a backrest height of 30.55 inches and a backrest of 22.55 inches. They have also added other features to make this one of the most comfortable gaming chairs available. Some of those features include a headrest pillow, a padded armrest, lumbar cushioning, shaped cotton seat, and a tilt/lock mechanism.

Visually, this is a stunning chair. Homall has done a lot to make sure that this budget-friendly gaming chair is comfortable. The high resiliency foam is plush yet does not seem to hold a memory of any kind.

For those on a budget, this is a great gaming chair with a lot of premium features without the premium price tag. While not as luxurious as some of the higher-end gaming chairs, it holds up fairly well against its competitors.

For those who want a premium gaming chair without the price, you might not want to look away. KILLABEE has produced a high-quality, racing-style gaming chair that is built for both functionality and visual appeal. It’s wrapped in a high-breathability polyurethane leather with slight contrasting color inserts and stitching. The color inserts can be purchased in blue, gray, red with the gray working best in an office environment and the red for a gaming environment.

One really nice feature that this gaming chair offers is a breathing channel where your neck rests. Most of the other chairs we’ve looked at do not offer anything like this. When you think gaming for a long time, it’s easy to get a sweaty neck and/or back. With this chair, your neck is free to breathe reducing these issues completely.

Again, this is another chair that can be adjusted on both height and seat tilt/recline. However, the armrests are fixed without any adjustment. This chair can be tilted/reclined from 90° to 175°. Plus, it has an extended footrest to make resting even easier.

The headrest is padded for extreme comfort and there is also a lumbar support pillow too. The seat is built using a high-density/high-resiliency memory foam which learns your body and cradles you.

While this is a gaming chair, it works great in an office environment too. It’s not so outlandish in visual design that it detracts from a professional setting. It’s built for comfort and long sitting sessions.

For those who want an extremely comfortable gaming chair, your search is over. Like we said earlier, this is a beautiful chair with just the right amount of color accents. While the armrests aren’t adjustable, they are extremely padded which just adds to the overall comfort of this chair. KILLABEE has created a great gaming chair and looks to be creating a memorable name too.

When looking for a gaming chair, these are the most important factors to consider. Just because a chair looks really cool, that doesn’t mean it is the best chair for you.

Picking a model that looks good to you is important as this will be a piece of furniture that you will use for a long time. Now, you don’t have to buy a gaming chair with ultra-exotic finishes and other over-the-top features. In fact, most of the time these “features” are faux (fake), which only cost you more money.

Some of the best built gaming chairs use special materials like textured leather, synthetics for durability, meshing for breathability, and even microfiber cloth for cleanability. A well-built gaming chair will allow you to play for a longer period of time without you becoming uncomfortable due to improper posture or overheated because of a lack of airflow.

Gaming chairs that aren’t as well-built will use lower quality materials such as faux leathers and general-use cloth. For someone who gets hot easily, it is best to look for a material with a lot of breathability – mesh and/or webbing.

Since you’ll be sitting for a long time, you need to find a chair that is extremely comfortable. Of course, cushioning is going to matter here. If the seat that you have chosen doesn’t have much cushioning, at some point your rear is going to start hurting. So, look for a chair that has plenty of cushioning.

Additionally, make sure that the chair has other cover features such as adjustable armrests and headrests, height adjustments, and even breathable materials. If the chair looks like it might be uncomfortable, there’s a good chance it probably is uncomfortable. If you aren’t sure, check out the reviews on the chair itself – if someone’s had a problem with it, they’re going to talk about it in the online review.

Gaming chairs give people so many more options when compared to standard office chairs. This is one reason why they are starting to replace most office chairs. Even so, you need to make sure that you find a chair that has plenty of adjustability. The more adjustable the chair is, the better it is for you as you’ll be able to find the exact settings for those grueling gaming sessions.

Some adjustability features to look for include armrests, headrests, seat height adjustment, recline ability, and even seat cushion thickness.

For gaming chairs that are equipped with speakers, it is important that they are compatible with your gaming platform. Some gaming platforms are not equipped with wireless audio. If you were gaming chair only has wireless audio as an option, then it will not work with your system. So, make sure that the gaming chair you want will work with the gaming platform that you want to use.

The size of your chair will matter, as it will become a part of your room. When you have guests over, are you going to put your chair up or leave it out? If it’s pretty big, you are just going to leave it out.

Some chairs have the ability to fold up for easier storage – this is not common, but it is an option on some gaming chairs. If space is an issue, you may want to look for a rocker chair or a bean bag chair.

Some gaming chairs are equipped with extra features such as speakers and subwoofers, and even shakers, to add an extra level of depth for a truly immersive experience. Some add specialized materials that are considered moisture wicking to help draw sweat away from your body or provide a little extra padding for your rear.

But remember, extra features cost more money. So, unless these extra features are actually important to you, you can probably overlook them.

And finally, make sure that you buy a chair that fits in your budget. Don’t underspend on a gaming chair just to save a few pennies. However, don’t overspend on features that you’ll never use.

A gaming chair is built to last for a long time, so understand that this is an investment. A good chair will help you to stay focused on your game while maintaining proper posture (in most cases). If you play games a lot, then there is no reason for you to skim on the perfect gaming chair.

Most gaming chairs cost between $100 and $500. Take the time to figure out what your budget is, what features you need, and then find the chair that works with both.

Q: What are gaming chairs used for? A: Gaming chairs are primarily designed to provide comfort for long periods of time while sitting. Secondly, gaming chairs are designed to help enhance your gaming experience with special features such as speakers and subwoofers. Additionally, gaming chairs can help improve your posture and overall comfort.

Q: Is there a difference between a regular chair and a gaming chair? A: Yes, there are differences between a regular office chair and a gaming chair. If we were to compare apples-to-apples, then we would only be focusing on office chairs and racing chairs (which resemble office chairs). There are plenty of other types of gaining chairs as well including rocker chairs, racing chairs, bean bag chairs, and even hybrid chairs which blend certain elements from each category.

So, there are plenty of differences between a regular chair in a gaming chair. Remember, a gaming chair is not generally designed for office use. Instead, it’s more of a multimedia experience with a few extra features to help enhance your gameplay and immersement.

Q: Will I be a better gamer with a gaming chair? A: Unless the gaming chair comes with cheat codes, maybe…

Okay, so here’s the deal – a gaming chair can help you be better by taking your focus off of your chair and onto the game. Are we saying that if you buy a $499 gaming chair that you’ll beat all your friends at Call of Duty? Absolutely not. What we are saying is that you be a lot more comfortable playing through those long, grueling sessions and to be up to focus more which may lead to you being a little better.

Practice makes perfect – so playing longer should equate to being better; so indirectly, a gaming chair can help you to be better.

Q: Do gaming chairs have their own speakers? A: Some gaming chairs do come with their own speakers. However, not all of them will come with their own speakers. Most racing style gaming chairs do not come with speakers. However, most rocker gaming chairs, bean bag gaming chairs, and hybrid gaming chairs will come equipped with speakers.

Some even come with more than just speakers, going as far as to include subwoofers and shakers to add another level of complexity to your gaming experience.

Q: Are gaming chairs wireless? A: Again, some gaming chairs do come with speakers. Not all of the chairs equipped with speakers are wireless. Some have audio input connections such as 3.5 MM headphone jacks and/or RCA jacks. Some do have the ability to work over Bluetooth, even being able to connect to other devices besides gaming consoles (i.e. smartphones, tablets).

Q: Do gaming chairs work with gaming consoles (i.e. Xbox, PlayStation)? A: If a gaming chair is equipped with speakers, there is a good chance that it will work with your gaming console. However, not all of the chairs are able to work directly with your gaming system as your gaming system might not have the audio outputs that work with your chair. If this is the case, you’ll need to use an audio adapter that converts the audio coming out of your gaming system into the required audio input (i.e. HDMI to RCA).

Q: Do gaming chairs work with computers? A: We’ve already touched on this briefly, but most gaming chairs that are equipped with speakers will work with other devices including a computer. Depending on the age of your computer, you might not have the correct audio output for your gaming chair. However, this is very unlikely as most computers come equipped with a 3.5 MM audio output jack.

Q: Do gaming chairs come preassembled? A: Unless you’re buying a chair from a local department store, it’s probably not going to be preassembled. Some of these chairs are very large and shipping them fully assembled would cost a ton. There are a few times where a gaming chair will come “preassembled” – some rocker chairs and most bean bag chairs will.

Q: How are gaming chairs powered? A: Almost all gaming chairs are powered by a plug from a standard wall outlet. Very few, if any, are powered by internal batteries. The ones that are powered by internal batteries tend to be weaker than those that are plugged into a standard wall outlet. Some people will argue that wireless chairs that use a plug for their power are not wireless; in this instance, wireless is talking about the audio connection, not the power connection.

Q: If I spilled water on my chair, will it mess it up? A: In most cases, spilling water on your chair will not damage it or messing up, especially if it’s not a powered chair. Of course, no one wants to spill water or some other type of drink on their equipment.

If you do spill water on your gaming chair, stop what you’re doing and clean it up. If it is a power chair, unplug it and then clean it up.

Q: What is the weight limit of a gaming chair? A: This depends on the type of gaming chair we’re talking about, but most gaming chairs are built for people 350 pounds or less. Of course, a beanbag chair might not be able to handle a 200-pound person who just plopped down on it. Under most circumstances, a gaming chair will accommodate most people.

Q: I’m tall/wide, will a gaming chair fit me? A: For people who are tall and/or wide, racing chairs can be slightly problematic. For those with wide shoulders, the wings on the chair might push them forward more than they are comfortable with. For those who are really tall, the headrest might not be high enough.

For the most part, rocker chairs and hybrids are generally the best options for a tall and or wide person.

Q: Why are there so many different types of gaming chairs? A: Choices! Life would be boring if we didn’t have choices, and with so many different types of gaming chairs, we have choices. Some people will prefer racing style chairs, where others will prefer rockers. Each type of gaming chair has specific features that certain users will like (and some will hate). That’s why our list has so many different types of chairs to – so you can find the perfect chair for you.

Q: Are gaming chairs considered ergonomic? A: By definition, ergonomic means to be designed for efficiency and comfort for a particular environment. So, following the law of the definition, most gaming chairs are ergonomic. However, most people associate ergonomics with proper body posture. By that definition, most gaming chairs are not considered ergonomic.

For instance, raising chairs are generally ergonomic and design. But, rocker chairs and bean bag chairs do not provide any type of bracing and/or support, which makes them non-ergonomic.

Q: Can a gaming chair help with my posture? A: If you buy the proper gaming chair, then it is possible for it to help with your posture. Most people looking to fix their posture will buy racing style gaming chairs as these are the most similar to office chairs.

A rocker chair and/or a bean bag chair will not help with your posture.

Q: Could I use a gaming chair in the place of a regular chair? A: Some people will actually use gaming chairs in the place of their regular office chairs; in fact, this makes a lot of sense. Gaming chairs tend to give their users more options for adjustability. From the height of the chair, to the height of the armrest, to the height of the headrest, and even the type of seat material and/or mesh backing. And, most gaming chairs are built for heavier use and therefore last a lot longer than standard office chairs.

Like we said, there are a lot of gaming chairs to choose from; and is not just one category type either. Today, we discussed twelve gaming chairs that we feel are the best right now. Some were racing-styled, some were rocker-styled, and some were a mixture of both of those styles.

In the end, we tried to make sure that every gaming chair we chose was a budget-friendly type chair. Of course, what we consider budget-friendly might not fit in your budget. But, we did show you a chair that was a great value option too.

Remember, when choosing a gaming chair, make sure that it has everything you need so that you’ll be comfortable and so that you’ll enjoy the gaming experience. There’s no need to buy a chair just because it has all of these neat little features. Features cost money, and you might not need those features – or to spend that money. And finally, a gaming chair is going to take up a lot of space. So, unless you’re going to hide it every time someone comes over, make sure it’s something that you don’t mind everyone seeing.

So, all that’s left to ask is “did you find the gaming chair for you?”
