There are plenty of different strategies you can use to get your affiliate marketing business off the ground, but some of them are better than others. The most effective affiliate marketing strategies have actually been proven to produce results time and time again, which means you don’t have to spend as much time experimenting with what works best and what doesn’t. This article will go over the top three affiliate marketing strategies so you can choose which one(s) to pursue in order to reach your own business goals!

Affiliate Marketing Business

Nowadays, affiliate marketing is quickly becoming one of the most profitable ways to create a business online. In case you’re unfamiliar with affiliate marketing, it’s essentially when you promote and advertise other people’s products (or sometimes your own) on your website, in exchange for a commission from sales that are generated from that advertisement. There are lots of strategies to approach affiliate marketing - let’s take a look at some of them.

How to Work As an Affiliate Marketer

As a marketer, working as an affiliate is one of those side gigs you hear about that's just too good to be true. It is real—and it can be very lucrative. I found out first-hand how much it can make when I was hired by a company to help grow their affiliate program and now, as an entrepreneur myself, I'm involved in several affiliate programs on my own site. While there isn't one particular way to work as an affiliate marketer, here are some tips for getting started 1. Create or join an affiliate network that matches your niche 2. Join professional organizations specific to your industry 3. Research & network your niche thoroughly 4. Utilize free and paid advertising to grow your business. 5. Build an email list.

Choose Your Niche and Study it Well

Research is king in affiliate marketing. If you’re going to be writing reviews for your site, then it only makes sense that you’d want to research your subject matter as thoroughly as possible so that your posts don’t sound like they were written by a complete noob. So do some keyword research (both on Google Trends and Wordtracker), and examine how various topics have been trending over time. Think about what information people might need as they start looking into buying a product, and think about what types of questions people might ask. Step 2 - Define Your Target Audience: Once you know something about who your audience will be, define who it is that you want to attract with each post. Think about their demographics (i.e., age group), their psychographics (i.e., personality traits) and their occupations—and write your post accordingly!

Research Your Competition

One of your primary goals when choosing a niche is to find a market with little competition. To check if there’s competition within your niche, use tools like Google Keyword Planner and Keyword Tool. Also make sure to do searches in Google or any other search engine you prefer. The goal is to look for topics that get a lot of searches but have low competition.

Create a Website That Fits Your Niche

Creating a website doesn’t have to be hard. There are plenty of sites out there, like Google sites and Wix, that allow you to create your own site with very little coding or design experience required. These platforms allow you to not only create a great-looking website but also a one-stop-shop for all of your content creation and distribution needs. Don’t worry about going overboard; it is easier than ever to set up multiple pages, even subdomains on these websites. Keep in mind that some website builders have limitations on how many pages you can have (this is often referred to as unlimited). It may be worth considering spending some extra money for more page options if possible.

Pick an Affiliate Network and Set Up an Account

It’s time to set up your first affiliate account and sign up for an affiliate network. This is where you have a network of publishers who have products and programs to advertise. When someone buys one of their products or programs you get paid a commission. There are many affiliate networks out there such as Clickbank Jvzoo, Warriorplus, Commission Junction, LinkShare etc... Once you sign up for an account, follow their directions on how to apply.

Invest in AdWords/Facebook Ads (or Get Sponsored)

Okay, so you’ve written a post and a few people have read it. Congratulations! Now what? Posting on your own Facebook profile or website is a fantastic way to get exposure for your brand and content, but if you want to grow an audience and reach lots of people, it might be time to invest in paid advertising. Thankfully, there are plenty of tools available that can help make social media marketing simpler and more cost-effective than ever before. Google AdWords and Facebook Ads (previously known as Sponsored Stories) can help you find potential customers who may not otherwise know about your product or service—plus drive them back to your site where they can make a purchase or take advantage of other offers.

Optimize Your Site for Search Engines and Rank #1

The Search Engine Game - There is a hidden game you can play to optimize your website for Google and increase search engine traffic. Learning how to play it gives you an unfair advantage over your competition. Learn the secret SEO tips to rank on page 1 of Google in minutes. Promote, Promote, Promote!

Once you’ve written an amazing piece of content, how do you get people to read it? The answer is simple—promote your post. There are three main ways that you can go about doing so: social media email marketing and search engine optimization (SEO). Social Media Promoting your post on Twitter or Facebook is easy; all you have to do is click a few buttons and set up some pay-per-click ads on both platforms. While writing is important for getting visitors to your site, social media promotion is vital for keeping them there. If you create great content on your site, but no one sees it because no one has found it yet, then what was the point in writing it? There’s no point in being prolific if no one ever reads any of your posts!.

Building Email Lists and Selling Products via Email Marketing

Now that you have your website up and running, it’s time to start converting visitors into customers. The most effective way to do that is with email marketing. An email list is one of your best conversion and monetization tools for a couple of reasons: (1) They’re likely more engaged than other visitors on your site; and (2) They already opted-in to receive your content, so there’s less friction during their purchasing journey. When starting out though, building an email list can seem intimidating. How do you capture emails? How many emails should you send per month? What should those emails look like? Getresponse, Converkit, Mailchimp are some of the Autoresponders used by online marketers for capturing emails.
