Table Tennis is Art. We'd like to thank everyone who submit - 2 minutes read

(by Steve Hopkins)

We’d like to thank everyone who provided a submission for the Table Tennis is Art (home game).  We were impressed with your creativity and hope that these put a smile on readers’ faces in these tough times.

As we noted in the original post, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles issued a challenge  to art fans “to recreate a work of art with objects (and people) in your home.   In honor of World Table Tennis Day (April 6), we modified this challenge to not just recreate a work of art with objects in your home – but also to incorporate table tennis as a part of the theme.  Submissions were made via twitter hashtag #tabletennisisart or via email to ButterflyNA.  If you missed out on the game, but would still like to participate – feel free to post to twitter using the appropriate hashtag.

Thank you again to all of the submissions.  A few of our favorites are shown below.  *These include Kaycee Loyengrub’s version of van Gogh’s Starry Night using her robot/net/rice/balls and table as the backdrop, Canadian player Di Liu’s search of art classic’s to find the perfect pose, and this author (and his daughter) posing with frown’s that capture how we feel during this quarantine. Larry Hodges and Jhon Mendoza each bypassed the rules a little – but their photoshop entries were so good they are included here too.
