The casing of the Syllable S101 is immediately more striking. The bottom is metal, while the top is composed of thick translucent plastic. The lid is well-fitting and sturdy.
It features a deep hole for the tips of the earphones, which is the most crucial feature.
This is quite beautiful, and putting on a pair of KZ Starline tips was a breeze. With a little coaxing, even foam tips would fit. Given the importance of finding tips that fit properly, the deeper well's flexibility is a significant benefit.
Four LEDs on the front of the casing display the charge level, which can be verified by pushing a button on the rear.
