Huntington Harbor Lighthouse (formerly Lloyd Harbor Lighthouse) is an lighthouse located in Huntington Bay, Long Island, New York. The present tower was lit first in 1912. It was constructed in 1857. The light was automated in 1949, and remains operational. Cast reinforced concrete cribs are used for the foundation, and cast reinforced concrete is utilized to construct the lighthouse. The tower's square shape is referred to as"castle "castle" in accordance with the Beaux-Arts design. Fifth order Fresnel lens of the fifth order was put in place in 1912. A lighthouse was built at Lloyd's Neck in 1857 to help ships find refuge from the wind and waves that often hinder navigation on Long Island Sound. The first lighthouse, referred to as the Lloyd Harbor Light or the Lloyd Harbor Light, did not offer much help to vessels entering Huntington Harbor. Huntington Harbor was served by the construction of a new lighthouse in 1912. The new lighthouse was distinctive in its design and construction. The lighthouse appears like a miniature castle due to its Beaux Arts style. It's distinct in the region due to its concrete reinforced foundation. The foundation of the light was built on the nearby land, and was then floated to the location which was where it was dug.
