Agent: Buckhead tower—and $294K remodeled condo—deserves some respect in Atlanta

With a unique facade of concrete and angled glass, the Concorde Condominiums have lorded over Pharr Court, a block from Peachtree Road in Buckhead, for more than three decades.

Today, the building offers some condo prices squarely in the $100,00s and a slate of amenities—rooftop tennis, a dog run, an immense gym—that impresses.

Nonetheless, in the estimation of real estate agent Kelly Long, the 31-story Concorde is basically the Rodney Dangerfield of Atlanta high-rise living.

“The high-rise is the third oldest in Buckhead,” Long, of Citihomes Realty, wrote in an email to Curbed Atlanta. “The complex itself has been under the radar for years and years. [Buyers] would have to pay double for a new property [nearby] that would not have the quality of workmanship.”

Long has a vested interest in the 289-unit Concorde in the form of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo listing that she describes as fully renovated and up to high design standards.

Changes to the modernized, 1,288-square-foot unit include an oversized master shower, expanded closets, quartz countertops, upgraded lighting, and other non-1980s tweaks. Despite its two-bedroom status, it comes with three parking spaces.

One obvious consideration here is the monthly HOA commitment of $543, with an initiation fee of $1,086.

But that allows for access to recently remodeled public areas, a pool with an array of gas grills (and lifeguard on weekends), and the convenience of a 24-hour concierge.

“There is even a dog-sitter that lives in the building,” Long noted.

The condo in question listed in mid-April via Citihomes Realty at $294,000 and remains at that price.

It’s not the building’s priciest listing at the moment, but other smaller units can be had for around the $160,000 mark. About a half-dozen Concorde condos are on the market right now.
