Stephen Curry accosted by fan seeking autograph at Tahoe golf event

A fan attending the 2019 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course this weekend really, really wanted an autograph from Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

The point guard was in a Friday group with singer Justin Timberlake and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Friday, and stopped to take some shots on a basketball hoop placed at one of the holes.

While Curry was shooting, a fan seeking an autograph ran out from behind the roped area and approached the Warriors star, who backed away and continued shooting. The fan was then escorted away.

Curry later tried to dunk on the hoop, but was rejected by the rim not once, not twice, but three separate times. Timberlake could be seen laughing in the background after the third and final miss.

In addition to golf and basketball, Curry also tried his hand at football when Romo had the Warriors star run some routes for him.

Romo found Curry on a deep post pattern, although Curry did not appear to drag his feet along the imaginary sideline.

After the first round on Friday, Romo led the field after he birdied six of his final 11 holes.

Curry was tied for 12th, trailing his father Dell Curry, who was tied for sixth. The action resumes again Saturday.
