Best education system

People keep asking, which country has the best education system to enroll their child/ward? Before providing an answer to the puzzling question, it is vital to understand the concept of an educational system.

According to the young adult platform, an appropriate education structure is responsible for the enlightenment of an individual from creche to graduate-level or more. They are simply structured institutes that accommodate young ones and adults based on their innate skills. It includes vocational school, kindergarten, grammar school, college, etc.

Knowing that a suitable education system facilitates learning across various fields, which countries have students that stand out across different locations in their respective areas? The below information contains regions with the best education system worldwide;

Finland

Statistics show that more than 90% of students in Finland graduate from high school with only 66% going to college. The many achievements witnessed in the country are a result of their education sector transformation within the last four decades.

The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) always conduct standardized test for learners across different locations. In 2000, Finnish students were the best in reading worldwide as they also achieved best in mathematics in 2003. Across more than 57 countries, Finnish science youth ranks number one.

According to some educationists, some of the reasons why Finland has a suitable education structure include; it allows more student playtime, encourages children creativity, emphasizes teamwork & proper communication, among other factors.

Children in Finland elementary school spend more than 70 minutes playing daily compared to US learners that spend 27 minutes. Similarly,  their daycare focuses on creative play and healthy well-being instead of reading, math, and writing. In other words, the main function of daycare is to develop a positive relationship with others and good social habits.

For older learners, much concentration is given to doing tasks together, critical thinking, communication, and creativity. In summary, the education system prepares learners to tackle real-life situations.

Germany

The fact that the German education system is well-structured and accessible to every individual irrespective of social strata makes it one of the best worldwide. If you are a German national, you don't have to worry about school expenses as the government covers your finance up to the university level.

According to OECD/PISA study in 2015, Germany ranks 16th best in maths, science, and 11th in reading. Their education standard is high and compulsory so they tend to perform better than their counterpart in similar niches.

There is always periodic testing of students, as learners with below minimum grade in at least two classes repeat the whole academic year. Statistics show 18% of students repeat an academic year once while 60% attend the tertiary institute.

Parents can always decide to enroll their child in private school as the academic duration is from 8 A.M-2 P.M precisely Monday-Friday. Note that students in higher classes might stay in school till 4 pm or 5 pm depending on their level.

United Kingdom(U.K)

UK schools rank among the best because of their teaching methodology, research, student satisfaction, etc. Note that schooling responsibility is designated to the government of the four regions which includes Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and England. Each region has its laws that govern learning.

The stages of education level include primary, secondary, further, and higher education. Unlike other countries where individuals with money can just think of establishing a school and start enrolling student, UK's Quality Assurance Agency(QAA) scrutinize institution audit and practice and provide recommendations for improvement. These simple gestures help to improve the quality of education learners receive.

The undergraduate courses structure helps to prepare students for life tasks after school as there is a variety of courses in areas of art, science, humanities, business, and more. The postgraduate program gives more emphasis on the specific study. Master's program takes a year in the UK which is quite faster compared to other countries.

Concerning the payment structure for bachelor, master, or doctorate programs, it depends on the rule of the region. However, some institutions charge between £10,000-£18,000 depending on the course.

Similarly, students can get financial aid in form of scholarships, grants, etc. These benefits are funded by the government, NGOs, and private individuals.

United States of America(USA)

Aside from the US being one of the most criticized countries, many people want to enroll in their institutions because of their school quality. Because of the diverse courses the US education system covers, it encourages more international bodies to join their program thereby bringing quality experience.

Similarly, there are vast funding options that encourage local and international students to attain their potential. Another feature of why the US education system stands out is because you can experiment with different courses for two years. However, other universities might demand you pick a specific study.

Japan

I know you might be surprised to see Japan on the list of countries with the best education system. Do you know that many regions envy the Japanese education structure? In Japan, much attention is given to respect for elders and animals as students take their first exam at age 10. What they do most of the time is small tests.  They believe during the first 3(three) years in school, attention should be given to character building instead of cognitive knowledge.

In addition, learners are responsible for the cleaning of the toilet, cafeteria, and school environment not custodians or janitors as seasoned professionals ensure the menu is set before or after the academic time. Students in junior high school enroll in after-school workshop, calligraphy, or poetry classes.

Conclusion

Note that the listed countries with the best school system are according to educationists across the different locations. However, it does not imply that other regions don’t offer a well-structured education system.
