“Fashion knows not of comfort,” perpetually stylish “Gossip Girl” heroine Blair Waldorf once said.

But don’t tell that to Leighton Meester, the actress who played the iconic Upper East Sider for six seasons on the hit series. As a mom to 3-year-old daughter Arlo Day, her first child with husband (and fellow teen soap alum) Adam Brody, the 33-year-old prioritizes ease above all else when it comes to her real-life wardrobe.

“The older I get, and the older my kid gets, I’ve realized that comfort is the number one thing that’s important to me,” Meester told Page Six Style. “But a lot of the time, because I’m so concerned with having an outfit be easy and comfortable, style tends to take a backseat.”

Enter the “Single Parents” star’s latest project: a breezy wide-leg jumpsuit designed in collaboration with sustainable LA label Christy Dawn.

Available in a trio of colors, the fit-and-flare “Leighton Jumper” ($308) features a scoop neckline with a tie front, along with a low-cut back. All proceeds from the piece benefit the Downtown Women’s Center, an organization working to empower women struggling with homelessness.

“The first time I went down and got to meet Christy was about a year ago; pretty much right away, we started talking about making a jumper,” Meester recalled. “Because that’s really my go-to, and I always am looking for the perfect one and had yet to find it — until now.”

Inspired partly by Miss Honey, the beloved schoolteacher character from 1996’s “Matilda” — “I thought an updated version of her really sweet, relaxed but put-together ’90s style would be cool,” Meester said — the actress worked with Dawn to create a piece with the throw-on-and-go ease of a dress, but that would be easy to “sit on the floor” and “run around” while wearing.

“I wanted it to be simple and easy for anybody to wear,” she explained. “I kind of just pictured what I’d actually be wearing it to — to the playground with my kid, to the beach, to a baby shower or birthday party or to dinner at a nicer restaurant, which doesn’t happen quite as much these days! I’ve been wearing it nonstop and really enjoying it.”
