Perrie Edwards showcases her childhood stomach scar in a lacy white crop top

She's been praised for not hiding her childhood stomach scar in photographs, promoting body confidence.

And Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards was at it again on Wednesday, as she posted snaps of her in a lacy white ensemble, abs on show.

The 26-year-old uploaded the shots as she posed in her living room in the two-piece, which allowed a glimpse at the scar - the product of undergoing surgery as a child.

The top featured a high-neck and three-quarter-length sleeves with semi-sheer detailing along the front and the sleeves.

She teamed it with a long matching skirt - a typically summery look.

She posted a snap of herself in a lengthy hallway mirror, also featuring her white tennis shoes - but lamented the scuff mark on them in the caption.

In an interview she gave a few years ago with Now magazine, the blonde beauty revealed she has always struggled with the mark on her body.

She said: 'My (biggest body-hang up) is my scar on my stomach. When I was little, my oesophagus was too small, so I had to get it operated on to help me eat properly. I had to have lots of operations, so that's why I don't want to show it.'

Perrie appeared on This Morning earlier in the day with her bandmates to discuss the Simple X Little Mix Choose Kindness campaign.

She explained that they went from 'fresh-faced girls to wearing heavy make-up' which made them look 'way beyond their years' at the start of their fame.

'We went from really young fresh girls not really wearing much makeup, maybe a little foundation on the lip when it was in, to then being really heavy and looking way older. We looked way beyond our years!' she noted.

Bandmate Jesy Nelson stated: 'You know what, we went from very natural, young fresh faced to looking like... we looked very cheap and tacky.'

However, Jesy's comment prompted a shocked reaction from Perrie as she replied: 'Jess! It was the style back then. We just felt more secure with lots and lots of makeup on. I do really just think that we’ve got better at knowing what we suit and we don’t feel the need to pile it on anymore.'
