Missoni Zigzags on the Wrist - 1 minute read

Known for knits in pulsating zigzag, stripe and color-block patterns, the Italian fashion house Missoni now has adapted those signature styles for its new watch line.

Three collections totaling 24 models were introduced Oct. 20, produced with the Timex Group Luxury Division. There are multicolored zigzags on dials, straps and case sides, and vivid colors on hands, crowns and pushers.

The brand’s fabrics also are featured: Pieces of knit lace are glued onto the dials of the M1 collection watches. It is an effect borrowed from Missoni sunglasses, which have house fabrics embedded in their acetate frames. When Timex “saw what we were doing, they said that ‘Oh, we would like to try that, too,’” said Angela Missoni, creative director and president of the 67-year-old family business.

The Swiss-made quartz watches are priced from $470 to $1,360. They are to be sold at Missoni boutiques and other stores, and online from the fashion house’s website, Farfetch and Nordstrom.com.
