>> Want to see our Top Picks for this week instead?

Join us as we wrap up Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a 5k to honor and celebrate our rich Asian and Pacific Islander heritage in San Francisco.

Participants are welcome at 9:40 am Japanese Peace Plaza. The first 200 participants will get a free Our Heritage 5K t-shirt. All participants should get a wristband that gives you access to bathrooms and surprise giveaways.

At 10:05 sharp, we will blow the airhorn to kick off the 5K from Japantown towards Little Saigon, Opera Plaza, Tenderloin, Market Street, Chinatown, and ending at Portsmouth Square for finishers’ celebration to mark the end of our AAPI Heritage Month.

The route is marked with orange ribbons that will guide you to each landmark. Each landmark will have volunteers, photo ops, facts about their rich significance, and even some surprise activities.

Most of the route is flat or downhill except for Chinatown towards the end where there will be a hill to conquer. But! You will be greatly rewarded with surprise giveaways in the alleys that will lead participants towards the finishing line at Portsmouth Square.

Cheering spectators will be ready to celebrate your finish! The first to arrive at Portsmouth Square will have the special honor of breaking the “Asian Hate” finishing line tape!
