People and organisations with a track record of promoting equality and diversity are being urged to submit nominations ahead of this year's inaugural ceremony.

Headline sponsored by global luxury brand Burberry, the prestigious awards ceremony will take place at London's Grand Connaught Rooms in March.

The awards will celebrate the individuals and organisations working to promote diversity and will acknowledge milestones in business, media, politics and grassroots activism.

People can now nominate for a variety of categories including Campaigner of the Year, Head of Diversity of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year and Social Mobility Initiative of the Year at Diversity Awards founder, Linda Riley, said: 'We are incredibly excited to be announcing details of the inaugural British Diversity Awards, Headline Sponsored by Burberry and category sponsored by Locktons PLC, Boots, National Grid, Ruebik, Barrett Homes, Attest, Imperial Brands and NHS University Hospitals Birmingham.

'These awards will shine a light on the individuals, organisations, charities and unsung heroes who help to make the world and workplaces a better place for others across all strands of diversity.
