Crediverso Credit Check review: See your credit report in Spanish or English with no Social Secur... - 5 minutes read

The bottom line: Crediverso is a solid option if you are looking for features that take specific consideration of Hispanic American people, immigrants, or non-US citizens. You can use an ITIN number to verify your identity if you don't have a social security number, and the platform is in English and Spanish.
Pros and cons
Crediverso Credit Check features
The Crediverso Credit Check has you fill out a quick online form with basic information to get the free credit report. You can fill out the form in English or Spanish, and use an ITIN number if you don't have a social security number.
After verifying your identity, you'll receive the credit report. The credit report uses the VantageScore 3.0 model to get an estimate of your credit score.
When you get a credit report, an online platform will use either a VantageScore model or FICO score to determine your score. The FICO score is more commonly used in scoring models, however, the VantageScore has grown in popularity and will look at slightly different factors to determine your score.

Below your credit score, you'll get a breakdown of how your credit score was determined and a rating of "low," "good" or "excellent." On the side, you'll get a few notes that describe the positive factors in your credit score as well as what could be improved.
Crediverso does a soft credit pull, so won't affect your credit score if you make several inquiries in a short time. Other online platforms like Credit Karma also offer a soft credit pull that won't affect your score.
How Crediverso works
Crediverso is a Hispanic-owned Spanish and English fintech platform that emphasizes services to Hispanic consumers.
Carlos Hernandez, CEO and founder of Crediverso, told Insider that he wanted to focus on Hispanic American communities because they are dramatically underserved in the US compared to the general market.
"They just don't have the level of access to financial information, financial products, and ultimately wealth-building opportunities that the rest of the country is given," said Hernandez. "We realized that there was a big problem there and so we asked ourselves OK, why is that. It really begins with how financial institutions make their products available."
Crediverso has now created the first credit check in Spanish and English that's available to US consumers.
To make sure that the overall platform addresses diversity within the Hispanic American community, Hernandez said that Crediverso has developed one of the largest English and Spanish content libraries for personal finance.
Writers and contributors who work for the website come from different backgrounds and informational articles are written by contributors from many countries including, Mexico, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and the US.
In addition to a credit check, you can also send money to other countries, use comparison tools for credit cards or personal loans, or read articles and watch videos to learn about personal finance topics.
Is Crediverso trustworthy?
For our reviews, we usually include ratings from the Better Business Bureau so you can see how a business deals with customer complaints and issues. Crediverso hasn't been rated by the Better Business Bureau yet.
However, it hasn't gone through any public controversies in recent years. If you're unsure of whether the platform would be a good match, you could reach out to a family or friends that have used the product to hear their thoughts or read online customer reviews.
Should you use Crediverso?
A free credit check is available on many sites, including Credit Karma and Credit Sesame, and is an easy way to get an estimate of your score.
Deciding between different sites will depend on your preferences. However, there are a few standout areas where you may prefer Crediverso over other online platforms.
If you don't have a social security number, Crediverso is a better option than sites like Credit Karma or Credit Sesame.  While the latter options require you to provide your social security number while filling out the online application.  Credivero lets you use an ITIN number or social security number.
This service can also be a good option if you're in the US and looking for a product in Spanish. Right now, Equifax is the only other platform in the US with a free credit report in Spanish, making the announcement a few days after Crediverso's launch. However, Equifax doesn't let you use an ITIN number for an online free credit report.
If you prefer more guidance on how to improve your credit score, other credit score sites may be able to provide more information than Crediverso.
Crediverso will include a list of the positives factors in your credit and where you can improve. However, it won't tell detailed information on how to improve it. Other websites like Credit Karma include additional features in the credit report that let you know which credit cards you may be eligible for or your payment history on your credit cards.
You also may prefer other options if you're searching to learn more about your FICO score. Crediverso uses a Vantage Score 3.0 model, which means that your credit score will be based on slightly different criteria.
Editor's Note: On September 20, 2021, we made a correction about how Crediverso pulls credit. Previously, we incorrectly stated that Crediverso does a hard credit pull. Crediverso does a soft credit pull, which will not affect your credit score.
