Snapshot – Aer Lingus 263 Birmingham to Dublin - 3 minutes read

Aer Lingus 263 Birmingham to Dublin

It’s time for another snapshot – this time focusing on the passenger experience between Birmingham and Dublin on Aer Lingus 263

For those of you who are new to the blog:

This was conducted online with a seat selected and boarding pass issued. The main check-in area at the airport was rather busy. I therefore skipped a paper boarding pass.

For the week before the summer holidays – it was rather quiet, with the security process completed in under 10 minutes

Once you clear security, you pass in the shopping mall that has air bridges attached to it.

With Aer Lingus using the “international pier”, it’s a short walk from the shops and into relative peace and quiet of the boarding areas

The aircraft assigned was an Aer Lingus Airbus A320

Boarding was from the tarmac, with a short delay as the plane was readied. Boarding was conducted from the front and aft of the plane.

It’s the standard seat that a Aer Lingus short haul seat. This has a multi-way headrest and recline

The plane was around 80% loaded, with some empty seats.

No in flight entertainment or on-board connectivity was offered.

On-board buy on board catering was offered. There seemed to be a good take-up in the cabin for this 1 hour flight.

Onboard sales were also offered with some uptake in the cabin.

The flight proceeded without many bumps and landed safely at Dublin airport, arriving into the Terminal 2 “South gates”.

These require busing to the main terminal for immigration clearance
