Simon Segars delivers 4 key points during Arm's 1st keynote at COMPUTEX 2021 - Nasi Lemak Tech - 2 minutes read

Arm’s keynote at COMPUTEX 2021 is not purely about product announcement or updates to the company, it was about sending a message delivered in 4 major points. We’ve round it up and summarized it here.

1. Revolutionary Architecture: Armv9

Arm’s latest architecture the Armv9 is designed to address the world’s transition to smarter and smaller devices that are both ubiquitous and smart such as embedded AI solutions. More opportunities to create small-sized systems which are powerful and easy to use is the goal Armv9 is aimed to achieve.

2. Armv9’s solution to security vulnerabilities in the modern era

Confidential Compute is the core security architecture in the Armv9 that separates data that are sensitive from the general pool and isolate them in secure regions where every request or process is performed in places that are fully encrypted.

3. Relief carbon trail in the computing field

Raising computing efficiency is one of the most direct ways to tackle CO2 emissions by reducing energy costs to perform computing tasks. Arm’s Neoverse V2 and Neoverse N2 compute platforms are fully optimized for sustainability and performance.

4. Igniting the world’s potential with Arm

Segar shared his confidence in leading the company in tapping more technological advancements through Armv9 and NVIDIA’s world-class AI expertise to bring the age of AI one step closer to the world to enjoy. He then concluded the keynote by ensuring Arm’s business goal is always to build a more secure and sustainable world for generations to come with tech.

With all said but things yet to be done and NVIDIA poking their heads into the business every now and then, only time will tell what Arm and Armv9 will achieve in the coming years.
