Love Island fans accuse Michael of 'playing GAMES' and seeing ex Amber as his 'ticket to the final'

He's set to reveal that he has feelings for his ex after she finally starts to move on with a handsome Irish newcomer Greg O'Shea.

And Love Island fans have now accused Michael Griffiths, 27, of 'playing games' and seeing Amber Gill, 21, as his 'ticket to the final'.

The Scouse firefighter, who chose to stay in the villa when Joanna Chimonides was dumped by their fellow Islanders on Monday night, has made it painfully clear that he has no feelings towards the Newcastle beauty after dumping her in Casa Amor.

Yet in a spoiler video posted to Love Island's official Twitter account, it sees Michael suddenly have a u-turn in his feelings towards his ex Amber after she goes on a date with Greg on Wednesday night.

And it's safe to say show watchers are not happy about the development as they took to the comments section to slam the firefighter for 'playing games' and accuse him of using Amber as a 'ticket to the final'.

One person said: 'Yeah but what would he do if joanna was still there, now shes gone, he wants amber back, its making it look like she's just his ticket to the final will never understand why ambers friends would ever push her back to him.'

A different account put: 'Michael is in it to Win it. His feelings resurfacing with the final looming. Wasn’t that long ago he was telling Joanna he wouldn’t go there again. Amber needs to wise up and couple with Greg BUT ideally Ovie and WIN IT!'

Another show watcher commented: 'Now it’s clear to me that Michael is trying to get back in the game and win the money.'

While a different fan added: 'How can Michael stress Amber out the way he did and tell her with his big broad chest that he doesn’t like her, only to have second thoughts now that someone else is taking an interest. I hope Amber knows her worth.'

In the scenes set to air on Wednesday night's episode of Love Island, Michael finally confesses he still has feelings for his ex Amber – just days after Joanna's exit.

The Scouse firefighter - who chose to stay in the villa when Joanna was dumped by their fellow Islanders - can't bear to see Amber on a date with new arrival Greg, who requested a romantic meet with her in the Hideaway for their first encounter.

On Sunday's show, just hours before Joanna was booted out from the island in a shock twist, Amber, admitted she still had feelings for Michael, but he made it painfully clear that he was no longer interested in her.

Michael claimed for weeks that he was happy with Joanna - and even continued to do so following her departure - but his co-stars weren't convinced.

And, in a dramatic U-turn set to air on Wednesday night's episode, the firefighter pulls the Geordie beauty for a chat to confess his true feelings after her date with Greg made him envious.

The Liverpudlian hunk also admits to Jordan, Ovie and Curtis in a fireside chat that he still likes Amber, explaining that after having a few days without Joanna he's had time to reflect.

Michael says: 'Now that Joanna has gone, it has given me time to think about things.

'I’m not saying I don’t like Joanna, because I do. But I feel like because Joanna was there I actively avoided Amber, and I've realised that: "Yeah, I do like Amber".'

Jordan interjects: 'If you did go back there, things would be so much more different,' to which Michael responds: 'I need to do myself a favour and let her know.'

The morning after making his unexpected admission, the Scouse star takes a moment to chat to Ovie, telling him: 'That was weird last night, in the sense that it felt normal again.'

The basketball player advises Michael: 'Don't let your pride - that is such a huge strength - hurt you. Don't fight yourself anymore, because if anything that'll make you more frustrated.'

Michael's admission comes after the end of Tuesday night's show, which saw Amber finally land a date as she was invited to join hunky newcomer Greg in the hideaway.

The Newcastle beauty was delighted to have some male attention after being left in tears by a clash with Michael earlier in the show.

At the end of the episode, Amber received a text message which read: 'Don't worry Amber. The boys aren't having all the fun. Greg is waiting for you on the Hideaway terrace. #guarddown #openminded.'

As the beauty rushed to enjoy her evening with the Irish arrival, she admitted being 'torn' about her feelings.

Regardless, Amber excited dashed into the hideaway, where the rugby player excitedly awaited to greet her with a bobttle of bubbly.

In a preview for the next show, he added that Amber was absolutely his 'first choice,' and added she deserved 'to be spoiled' after a difficult few weeks.

And, during Wednesday night's instalment, Amber admits the drama with Michael has been difficult, telling Greg: 'It's been hard, but I feel like I'm sort of coming out the other end of it now and I feel happier.'

Before heading to bed, Amber says to the girls 'I'm telling you now, I haven't liked one boy that has come in. That boy has got the luck of the Irish!'

The following day, Amber appears coy when chatting to Anna about the villa's new hunk, giggling: 'I don't know what to say to him.'

Chatting in the Beach Hut, Amber admits it's 'hard' for her 'to be normal' when in reality she wants to 'let her imagination run wild.'

Elsewhere on Wednesday night's show, Chris confesses he's been 'Ovie'd' after the basketball hunk seemed to have attracted both new girls, Harley and India.

While in the swimming pool together, brunette beauty India appeared to ride on Ovie's back as Chris looked on from the kitchen in despair.

Michael's admission about still caring for Amber comes after she was left in tears just a few night ago as she and Michael tried to clear the air following their tense conversation the previous evening.

The fireman had insisted he wasn't interested in rekindling their romance after the departure of his partner Joanna.

But his assertive demeanour - and demand that she 'sit down' - did not go down well with Amber or the rest of the villa.

Amber told Michael: 'I just think you really need to think about the way you speak to me, because it comes across really badly. I knew you before and you never spoke to me in a way that made me feel upset.'

Michael claimed: 'I don't actually want to hurt you and I never have. Right now, it seems that I take all of my frustration out on you.'

Breaking down in tears, Amber added: 'Every time you speak to me, you make us feel like a piece of s**t.'

And while it seemed Michael was about to walk out of the lounge and leave Amber sobbing, in reality he was just grabbing a box of tissues.

Eventually the pair seemed to reach a common ground, and somewhat ended the chat on amicable.

When it was revealed Amber was going a date with Michael, he seemed indifferent to the news as he told her to 'have a good time' while eating cereal.
