In pictures: Kansas plays North Carolina for NCAA title - 1 minute read

After the biggest comeback in an NCAA Tournament final, the Kansas Jayhawks are national champions in men's basketball.

The Jayhawks trailed North Carolina by 16 points in the first half Monday night, and they went into the locker room down 15 at halftime. But then they rallied in the second half to win 72-69 in New Orleans.

This is Kansas' fourth title in school history and its first since 2008.

The Jayhawks (34-6) had five players score in double figures on Monday night. Ochai Agbaji, who scored 12 points, was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. David McCormack finished with 15 points, including a couple of big buckets in the game's final minutes.

North Carolina (29-10) was seeking its sixth national title and first since 2017. The Tar Heels started this year's tournament as a longshot 8-seed. But they knocked off a No. 1 seed, Baylor, on their way to the Final Four, and on Saturday they defeated archrival Duke.
