Sunday Benedikt Duda won his first German championship with a 4-2 win over Bastian Stegar.  Duda was the only player from the Germany Silver Medal-winning German squad to compete (Boll and Ovtcharov did not enter).  However, Duda and Stegar and semifinalists Fan Bo Meng and Ruwen Filas made for a very talented pool of players.  For Duda, this is a stellar month, securing both an Olympic medal and a German title.

Nina Mittelham topped Chantal Mantz for the Women’s title.  Duda teamed with Dang Qiu to win the Men’s Doubles over Ruwen Filus and Steffen Mengel.  The Women’s Doubles title went to Tiefenbrunner/Winter, and the Mixed Doubles title went to Franzisca Schreiner and Tobias Hippler.
