Let’s hope to meet that goal which is to go up, ”said the 26-year-old tenimesista who is ranked 144 in the world ranking.

González now hopes to dedicate himself fully to his commitments in Spain and the national team after the culmination of his university participation.

Daniel González pacta con nuevo club en Liga de España

El tenimesista utuadeño llegó a un acuerdo para jugar con el Real Club Tenis de Mesa Linares en la división de Honor

Daniel González tendrá la encomienda de ayudar al Real Club Tenis de Mesa Linares a ascender a la Súper División.

El tenimesista utuadeño será uno de los refuerzos del club español para la venidera temporada en la división de Honor tras haber pactado un acuerdo que le permitirá retomar su carrera profesional.

Anteriormente, González había jugado como profesional junto al club San Sebastián de los Reyes, precisamente en España, y puso en pausa su trayectoria por los pasados años para buscar buenas posiciones en el escalafón mundial de la Federación Internacional de Tenis de Mesa (ITTF).

“Ellos están en la segunda liga, pero apuntan a subir a esa primera división”, comentó González en entrevista telefónica con EL VOCERO.

El integrante de la selección nacional masculina pasó ocho años con el club San Sebastián de los Reyes. También vio acción en la Liga Atlética Interuniversitaria (LAI) en la que ganó tres títulos bajo el sistema universitario Ana G. Méndez, recinto de Carolina.

“Esta firma es algo bueno porque me permite mantenerme activo competitivamente. El club tiene la meta de subir a toda costa. Esto va a ser exigente. En realidad, ahora mismo tenemos un buen equipo. Esperemos cumplir esa meta que es subir”, dijo el tenimesista de 26 años de edad que ocupa el puesto 144 en el ranking mundial.

González ahora espera dedicarse de lleno a sus compromisos en España y la selección nacional tras la culminación de su participación universitaria.

“Ahora esto es bueno. Para jugar LAI tenía que interrumpir en España así que me permite seguir en un alto nivel de competencia por Europa y no tener que interrumpir el calendario”, mencionó el atleta, que regresa mañana al club Águilas de la Montaña para retomar los trabajos desde el centro de entrenamiento.
