Brody Jenner says 'it really hurt' when Caitlyn Jenner cancelled on his wedding a week before

Brody Jenner said 'it really hurt' when his father Caitlyn canceled on his wedding just a week before the event.

On Monday night's episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, the 35-year-old revealed that the 69-year-old former Olympian skipped his nuptials to Kaitlyn Carter last June.

Brody was talking to family including his brother Brandon Jenner, 38, and 69-year-old mother Linda Thompson as they shared that Caitlyn had neglected to call the kids for some birthdays, and canceled on Brody's wedding just a week before.

'You just gotta let it go,' Linda urged. 'You have to forgive.'

'Not having my dad at the wedding… it was a bummer,' Brody admitted. 'Honestly, it really did hurt.'

'I would much rather have had her there, but… she had better things to do. Apparently,' he said.

That was not the only bombshell revealed during the family chat as Brody claimed that mother Linda knew 'for decades' about his father transitioning.

As they were discussing their upbringing, Linda was candid about the 'devastating' moment she learnt of Bruce's desire to transition to Caitlyn as well as Brody confessing that he 'never had a great relationship with his dad.'

Speaking of his family life, Brody detailed: 'Through all the ups and downs that my family has had, my mom has definitely been the rock and made sure that everybody gets together once or twice a month.'

His mother shared her memories of raising the boys with Caitlyn, 69, as they looked through photos with Brody's wife Kaitlynn, 30, and brother Brandon, 38.

'I was so happily married to Bruce Jenner,' Linda recalled. 'I had this great normal life in this house in Malibu, until that fateful day… Bruce said to me, ''I want to transition''.'

'The public just found out a few years ago about Caitlyn when she made her transition, but my mom has known for decades,' Brody confirmed in a confessional.

'My life just did a 180,' Linda remembered. 'In my mind, I had lost my normal, my family, my wonderful husband that I thought would be forever. I had just lost my marriage and the father of my kids. I was devastated.'

She was sympathetic to Caitlyn's plight, but didn't give her 'a pass' for being an absentee father, she continued.

'I don't think there's any excuse ever to not be there for your children,' Linda said.

Brody's former stepfather, 15-time Grammy winner David Foster, introduced him to a different crowd.

Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and other artists were 'in and out of the house every day,' Brody explained.

Adding to the fun, mom Linda was a songwriter, having written hits such as the Whitney Houston song I Have Nothing.

'Music was always a big part of our life,' noted Brody, now working as a DJ and musician with the band, AHZ.

His friends came out for the premiere for AHZ's new video, though Caitlyn, was conspicuously absent.

So was Brody's onetime best friend, Spencer Pratt, 35, with whom he had had a blow-up on a previous episode.

Spencer threw a completely different type of party for 250 influencers at club Avenue in Los Angeles, launching Pratt Daddy Crystals, the business he runs with wife Heidi Montag, 32.

Crystals had become their primary source of income after he blew through '$10 million in two years,' he said.

'Back in the day money was just being thrown at us, and we were spending as much as we were making,' Heidi explained in a confessional. 'We ran out of money.'

'I won't let that happen to our family again,' she vowed.

Spencer admitted they had thrown a lot of cash into the gathering.

'I want you to feel like you are in a magical crystal cave of energy,' he said, explaining the vibe.

His sister Stephanie, 33, even showed up to the party, despite the fact they had been warring.

Brody, however, was not invited.

He was shown instead meeting his pal Brandon Lee for an early lunch.

Brody praised the 28-year-old when he said he'd become interested in pursuing a nice girl named Ashley.

'I guess I've learned from my parents,' said Brandon, son of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson, whom he called 'the two craziest people on planet earth for a long time.'

He was interested in marriage, the actor added, but just wanted to be married once or twice, 'not five times.'

Brody said Brandon's mom was 'hot,' which Brandon admitted used to anger him as a teen.

But both Brody and Brandon agreed that it was important not to let female hangers-on take advantage of them.

They segued into a chat about their fathers, saying they made everything about themselves, which 'comes with getting famous at such a young age,' Brandon said.

'Your dad was an Olympian, my dad was a f***ing rock star,' he pointed out. 'At a certain point, your life isn't like a normal life. It becomes this big show for everybody.'

'For me it's always easier to have a teammate to go through everything with,' Brandon added while shopping with Ashley later, noting his parents weren't really around.

Audrina Patridge, 34, continued to struggle as her divorce proceedings dragged on—and ex Justin 'Justin Bobby' Brescia, 37, toyed with her affections.

She said he had tried to kiss her at a recent concert, but he denied it.

'I literally gave her a friendly hug and kissed her on the cheek goodbye,' he said in a confessional.

Audrina's friends had urged her to talk to him, though her pal Joey suggested Justin was sleeping with Stephanie.

She also shared that she was re-examining her career after parting with her mother-manager a few years ago.

Mischa recently booked an audition for a film with Kelsey Grammer.

She said it was important that she show people she was still 'a force to be reckoned with' in acting.

Linda and Mischa who have known each other for about 17 years also caught up at the music video party.

The Hills: New Beginnings will return next week on MTV.
