Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's family baseball game reminds fans to 'stay connected' during ... - 2 minutes read

The Lopez/Rodriguez household is proving that staying quarantined doesn't have to be boring.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, who announced their engagement last March, went outside this weekend as a family for their "Saturday Game of the Week."

"We hit, we threw, we played catch, we caught ground balls and pop flies. We laughed. We exercised," former MLB star Rodriguez tweeted. "It's a reminder of how much fun you can have with people you love ... with just a bat, glove and few balls."

The former New York Yankee is shown in a video playing catch with Lopez (wearing a patterned lime-green workout outfit) and 11-year-old Emme. In one drill, Rodriguez hit the ball to Emme, who fielded before tossing it toward her mom.

"Throw it to my glove," Lopez called, moments before the ball ended up hitting the camera. Since the trio seemingly was playing in their enclosed backyard, they switched to using Wiffle balls before batting practice began.

"This time off has reminded me how important it is to slow down and spend time with family," Rodriguez later said. "In my case, that means playing board games, embarrassing yourself at TikTok, trying to cook, and dressing up."

He added: "We all need to take care of ourselves, mentally and physically, and also be respectful of the health and well-being of others. At a time when people need to stay apart, we can still find other ways to feel togetherness. Stay connected, and most importantly, stay safe!"
