Matthew McConaughey shows off his dad bod during a family vacation to a beach in Greece

Matthew McConaughey is once again living up to the Beach Bum title in real life.

The 49-year-old actor was spotted in Greece Saturday enjoying a day on the shore with his wife Camila Alves and their three children. The family has been vacationing in Antiparos, an island which McConaughey seems to have fallen in love with.

The Oscar-winning actor is usually very toned, but on this outing appears to have filled out a bit more.

Last year, the Dazed and Confused actor took his family to the same island, where their three week vacation turned into four weeks.

He told Jimmy Fallon: 'We had a great three weeks. We had such a good three weeks, we decided that when it's time to go, man, let's push this and do this another week.

'Everyone unanimously says yes.'

This time, the actor's mom Kay McCabe joined the trip once again, as did Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's son Chet Hanks, 28.

McConaughey hit the beach in blue swim trunks with a white drawstring, showing off a slight dad bod.

He completed the look in patriotic fashion with a backward red, white and blue baseball cap.

His model wife, 37, cut a chic beach look in a white one-piece under a buttoned-up thin white shirt, while sporting a pair of frameless purple sunglasses.

The Interstellar star flexed his muscles as he bent down to pick up some flat rocks.

He then showed his sons Levi, 10, and Livingston, 6, how to skip stones over the calm shore.

The couple also has a nine-year-old daughter named Vida.

McConaughey's most recent movie Beach Bum placed him in a heightened version the coastal-dwelling, weed-smoking lifestyle he seems to have become known for.

He stars alongside Isla Fisher and Snoop Dogg as Moondog, a hard-partying poet who struggles to get his life together after the death of his wife.

McConaughey lost around 50lbs to star as a man suffering from AIDS in the movie The Dallas Buyers Club.

The star also talked about how he shed the weight: 'I ate a lot of fish, but only five ounces of it, and then a cup of vegetables.'

And he hit the gym.

'I started off doing a lot of exercise, burning 1,800 calories a day,' he said. 'I had to do that for two weeks. My goal was to lose four pounds a week.

'So I was doing that for the first two weeks, lost eight pounds,' he continued. 'And then I had a week where I had an injury and I couldn’t exercise, and I stayed on the same diet but I lost the same amount of weight. I was like oh, well hang on. Let me see if I can do this without exercise! And I lost the same amount of weight.'
