My experience is as follows.

I started doing keto on 8 October 2018. I was weighing 220 pounds/100kg at the time. Today I am on 176 pounds/80kg, all in a little less than 3 months. And the weight continues to drop.

All thanks to the Keto Diet which turned me from this:(im the guy with the bra on, it was for a movie shoot.. I promise)

Not quite there yet, but considerably better.

For the first 30 days I was going hardcore Keto, calculating macros, planning meals a day in advance, drastically reducing my alcohol intake (but not eliminating it).

In the first week I lost around 4 kg/10 pounds. 75 % of this was probably water weight though, as when you deprive your body of glycogen it excretes the water that it normally binds with in your body.

After the initial 30 days I started drinking a bit more frequently but still avoided beer like the plague. I went a total of 51 days without beer, and mostly drank whiskey and water which has zero carbs. I did naturally notice how it impacted my weight loss, it slowed it down quite a bit but yet I still lost weight.

In the 3rd month, I gained the confidence to experiment a bit with carbs. Keeping in mind that I still to this day haven't had any cravings for carbs as I expected. However I did have fries once or twice, bread maybe once a month max. I noticed that my body can now digest carbs better in the sense that I didn't pick up weight when I had fries or so.

This is now, as cliche as it might seem, my lifestyle. I drink when I feel like it, eat amazing food and feel like a new person. I even drink beer now and then, however I only drink low carb beer.

Also, from the second month I started doing intermittent fasting, which I believe also greatly contributed to my success. 90% if the time I only eat once a day.

This changed my life, however, one must understand the diet properly. Something I didn’t when i tried the diet previous times.

I must also add, that yes I do now exercise about 3–4 times per week, but that is more for general health than weight-loss. In other words, contrary to popular belief, excising your head off is not necessarily going to result in significant or sustainable weight loss. It is all about what you eat, and if you do that correctly, you wont even need to exercise, from a weight-loss point of view.

Eat enough fat, (not too much)and limit carbs to 30g per day. Its easier that you might think
