Stephen Colbert has the perfect solution to Trump's rambling press conferences - 1 minute read

To say Donald Trump's coronavirus press conferences have lacked a little clarity would perhaps be the understatement of the year — and they only seem to be getting more and more rambling as the weeks go on.

Luckily, Stephen Colbert has a solution.

"Trump's been having a blast at his briefings, but it turns out he initially had a totally different idea for how to connect with the American people," explains Colbert in the clip above. "Early on in the crisis, Donald Trump wanted to start a White House talk radio show. Apparently, Trump emphasised that the show would need to be at least two hours a day, every day."

Obviously the radio show hasn't happened, but Colbert still thinks the idea has potential.

"Could we just lock him in a soundproof room for two hours a day and tell him he's on the radio?" Asks The Late Show host, before launching into an impression of a White House staffer: "'Sir, your ratings are great, just take our word for it. Now we'll fight the virus, you keep screaming into the hairbrush.'"
