'Meet The Press' Panel Criticizes Pete Buttigieg's Response To "Black Lives Matter" Protests

Chuck Todd, Kristen Welker, Peter Baker, Lanhee Chen, and Peggy Noonan criticized Democratic presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg for his response to a police shooting in South Bend. "There's this one moment that when you read it it sounds terrible, 'I don't want your vote.' He was simply saying he's not playing politics, but it came across. It was just a horrible exchange for him," Chuck Todd said.

"This is a cool and technocratic fellow, it doesn't always translate higher," panelist Peggy Noonan said. "Fascinating way to describe him," Chuck Todd noted. "Technocrat. Not always a compliment."
