Vanderbilt baseball celebration set in Nashville after College World Series

Vanderbilt's national championship baseball team is returning to campus on Thursday.

The Commodores, who won the College World Series final Wednesday night in Omaha, Neb., are expected to arrive at Hawkins Field at 12:15 p.m. The team will be dropped off at the main entrance to meet with fans.

Coach Tim Corbin and the team will be honored at a celebration at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Center at 4:30 p.m. The indoor complex adjoins the Vanderbilt Recreation Center between Natchez Trace and 25th Avenue South.

Free parking for fans attending Thursday's celebration is available at surface lots across Natchez Trace from the Vanderbilt Track and Field Complex.
