Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan under federal investigation for alleged leaks

Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan is at the center of a federal investigation into the leak of confidential government information in late June that forced Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to call off a nationwide operation, three senior administration officials told the Washington Examiner.

Following the publishing of sensitive leaked law enforcement information on June 21, then-acting ICE Director Mark Morgan’s team followed department protocol and reported the incident to the ICE Joint Intake Center so they could investigate. JIC is an agency office that handles internal investigations of personnel misconduct, sexual abuse, staff neglect, or violations of responsibilities that may have contributed to such incidents.

(AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais) “There is an ongoing investigation. An internal investigation has been launched,” one official said in a phone call Friday.

The investigation, which is not a criminal probe, is centered around the leader of the department’s 240,000 employees, as well as at least one aide, for possible involvement in the leak. ICE did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It's not clear if JIC has referred the matter to the DHS Office of the Inspector General.

“Any investigation into the malicious, unauthorized disclosure of the operations is completely justified. Any causal observer would logically deduce that McAleenan’s dodgy response and coy behavior warrant additional scrutiny,” a second senior official said late Thursday.

For the love of Pete. Can anyone be trusted? Doesn’t look like it. Ever since President Trump took over he’s had advisors that couldn’t be trusted, appointees that couldn’t be trusted, aids that couldn’t be trusted....it’s a crying shame too......po’s me to no end!!

The deep state involves may CAREER bureaucrats working against the administration from within. Reagan actually complained about this. Since then it’s only gotten worse, since once a liberal gets into a management position they hire only ‘fellow travelers’ I’ve seen this in NON-government jobs as well.

I want the a-holes who advise trump to be fired, too. Such a stable genius! Can’t pick good people or doesn’t have the sense to clean house. Acosta was a plant to tie trump to Epstein. And he fell for it, which proves to you q-douches that he has NO idea what 2-d chess is, let alone the 34567-d chess some of you claim he is playing.

I trust no government agency to do anything helpful nor lawful with tax dollars! The handful I used to trust have so thoroughly disgusted me, that any modicum of honor or trust that used to exist, now only holds downright disdain if not outright loathing! I now think that the former Mafia, had far more “honor” than the law and courts that brought them down! At least, what they have become through corruption and deceit of those at the very top! Our forebearers would be so very sorry to see what they pledged “their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor,” to secure! So sad, I love my country but I hate my putrid cesspool of a government!

Steve Hilton (The Next Revolution on FOX News) did a segment a few months ago about some of the people being hired by the Trump administration. They all seemed to be in opposition to Trump’s policies and they are now in key positions. The segment was both shocking and depressing.
