John Krasinski celebrates healthcare heroes with the help of David Ortiz and the Red Sox - 1 minute read

John Krasinski dropped the third episode of Some Good News on Sunday night and boy was it a doozy.

After The Office star's regularly scheduled intro — full of cute kid videos, precious pet content, and creative quarantine updates from bored Americans around the country — he delivered the sports report with the help of two special guests: sportscaster Joe Buck and Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz.

Krasinski's a huge baseball fan and wanted to honor the season in style, so he decided to celebrate the healthcare heroes working the COVID unit at his hometown hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, by giving them the surprise of a lifetime.

After David Ortiz told the COVID team that the Red Sox would be hooking them up with tickets for life, Some Good News sent the healthcare professionals on a bus to an empty Fenway Park, where they threw what Krasinski deemed the first pitch of the 2020 Major League Baseball season.

The tearjerker of an episode includes everything from an Emily Blunt appearance and Krasinski's beloved Boston accent, to an important AT&T-related announcement. You don't want to miss it.
