The White House allegedly challenged Intel’s plans to increase chip production in China
The Biden administration has “strongly discouraged” Intel from ramping up chip production in China. Intel proposed to start the production of silicon wafers in a Chengdu, China factory, but the White House remains skeptical due to “security concerns.”
